Jersey Shore less embarrassing to Jersey than Nets effort today

The Celtics came into New Jersey today and… after a lackluster 1st quarter… wiped the floor with the New Jersey Nets.  They outscored the Nets 53-28 in the 2nd and 3rd quarters en route to a 100-75 win that should have been even more of a blow out than that.

The best stats of the night came out of the Big 3:  Ray – 26 minutes played… Paul – 24 minutes played… KG – 27 minutes played.

Nate Robinson (21, 6 and 6) did a pretty good job filling in for Rondo… calming down and playing better team ball after coming out of the blocks gunning.  Big Baby (16 and 9) was also great.  Avery Bradley got 15 minutes of playing time and played some decent D.  Von Wafer scored 8 and made some defensive plays in his 18 minutes.

The Nets flat out sucked.  37.5% shooting… 18 turnovers… Outrebounded by 13… out-assisted 24-16 in a game without Rondo…

Just disgusting.

C's are off 'till Wednesday.  Rondo and Shaq, who left with a sore calf, will have time to rest up.

    Great head line BTW!
Nate was phenomenal today as was Baby. The foul discrepancy showed how aggressive this team was today. Great win. Pulling Rondo creates a sense of urgency against these weaker teams so the C’s probably feels like it just can’t show up.
Doc should consider resting Rondo against Philly both times this month as well as Detroit. If needed not playing Rondo for two games after facing the Hawks (vs Indiana and vs Philly) will get him EIGHT days off before the Christmas match up with Orlando.
I kinda think Doc is protecting himself from himself because by deactivating Rondo for a game or two at a time. We all know Doc will over play Rondo otherwise.

The more I watch NBA games this season, the more I realize how good C’s are by now. No other team seems to have same amount of quality, strenght, willingness and (above all) team effort and organization all focused under one jersey.
Probably Nets players realize the same midthrough 2nd Q.. ;)

Looked like a ridiculous amount of Celtics fans at the Pru – you know it’s bad when people are using the balloon-clappy things to distract the home team on free throws.
Erden drives me nuts when he puts the ball on the ground to power up around the basket…JUST GO STRAIGHT UP WITH IT!
