Delonte West suffers broken wrist

The Celtics have confirmed West suffered a broken right wrist. At this point, there's no timetable.

West broke the same wrist back in January 2009. He missed just 16 games.

Judging by his screams of pain, I will guess this injury is more severe. We can only hope he's back in 8-12 weeks.

(h/t Chris Forsberg for previous injury tip)

Tell avery bradley to work his butt off and learn our schemes as fast as possible and we got ourselves a PG/SG+defender like West.

Really sucks. Well, I guess it’s time to see if Avery’s defense is as good as it was made out to be.

    JO, Perk, then West.
Depending how bad the break is, I don’t expect to see West again til February.

Like what the other guys said, could be a blessing in disguise. Bradley could earn some minutes and experience, and Von Wafer has finally shown some improvement in defense. I’m not really for it, but expect to see more minutes from him.
Quisy has been HUGE for us tonight. I can only pray that he stay healthy and keep it up all the way till the playoffs.

horrible….really tough to see. I think we all knew immediately that it was very serious. Expect Marquis to have an expanded role with the second unit, ie. more ball handling. Yes, this isn’t ideal. Regarding Bradley, I still expect Docs reluctance to give rookies serious run to be a factor in terms of his minutes going forward. IMO, Rondo should be rested until he is 100%, regardless of its effect on our record. I trust Nate at this point to deliver solid performances until that time. I assume Coach Rivers is of a similar opinion.
