Recap: Another OT win

This'll be quick:

Ray Allen was "Sugar Ray"… hitting on 9-12 shots from the field, 3-5 from 3, and 4-4 from the line for a 25 point night.  The beauty of his night was 6-7 from inside 3… most from mid-range and in… including a clutch dunk in OT off a feed from Paul Pierce.

Pierce, by the way, had 10 pts, 7 reb and 5 ast on an off night.  KG was off too… shooting 7-17.  So was Big Baby (4-10) for that matter.  But the key thing to remember here is the C's won on a night where Pierce, KG and Baby shot a combined 15-41.

The C's still had 19 turnovers and they got out-rebounded (43-31) in yet another all-too-typical Celtics stat sheet.  Part of the issue was Jermaine O'Neal played 19 minutes with zero rebounds.  Oh, and Rondo had 11 assists tonight.

I think its clear that Perk is our starting center when he gets back.

By the way:  Miami lost tonight.  Just wanted to mention that.

The Big 3 come through big at the end! I wasnt happy about blowing the lead, but at least they got the W. What the F is wrong with Nate? Maybe he just needs to get back to the 2 after Delonte returns.
I’ve watched the Bulls 2 nights in a row and that Gibson is a good young player.

  • Wow. What a freaking night at the Garden-gonna post about it tomorrow. And Lee from Oregon is so right- Taj Gibson is a damn good young NBA’er.

you can only hope to look up. this really was another sad 2nd half melt down. i’m pointing the finger at doc to make some hard changes. his rotations are all over the place..

Cs only had 14 TOs, not 19. Bulls had 19.
Nate played his best game tonight, which ain’t saying much.
Thibs definitely has this team playing defense. Kudos to him, but my Cs know how to close.

Whats with everyone Bashing Jermaine O’Neal?? The guy keeps getting progressively better from game to game, I was excited when we signed him and I’m excited now. He blocks shots, is a shooting threat that shaq and perk aren’t and he plays really hard and is always intense! He is one of the best shot-blockers we’ve had in quite some time, so please nomore Jermaine bashing because he is really coming into his own in his new career as the 5th or 6th option on a team. Once O’Neal finally comprehends his knew role, watch out because I am seeing many of his old skills coming back to him now that he’s getting healthy.
