I cannot think of anything more exciting than watching the Celtics pound the Miami Heat on October 26th.
Unfortunately, I cannot justify spending $300+ on a ticket (darn kids).
There are a couple different ways to win tickets.
Celebrities for Charity is holdling a raffle with the grand prize being 2 courtside seats:
- Winner will receive 2 Center Court, Courtside, Seats (Face Value $3,150 each) to the Celtics Opening Night Game at TD Bank; where Shaq and LeBron James will make their debut as the Celtics take on the Miami Heat (October 26, 2010, 7:30 Tipoff)
- Winner will receive 5 Boston Celtics Jerseys (Starting 5 or 5 players of Winner's choice) autographed by the players for the Winner.
- Winner will receive a cash prize in the amount of $2,964.50 to mitigate the Winner's tax liabiltiy that results from winning the raffle. This prize is withheld and paid, on behalf of the Winner directly to the IRS ($2,450.00) and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts ($514.50)
Tickets are $2 each and you need to buy at least 5. Good luck.
Your other option is to walk around Boston with a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee in your hand. Seriously.
"Caught Cold" is designed to reward New England consumers who are "caught" drinking Dunkin' Donuts Iced Coffee. Every Thursday throughout the 2010-11 NBA season, the Celtics street team will travel around the region and instantly reward customers spotted drinking Dunkin' Donuts Iced Coffee with two tickets to an upcoming Celtics home game at the TD Garden.
Ray Allen will tip-off the "Caught Cold" campaign by joining the Celtics street team on their inaugural quest to find and reward Dunkin' Donuts Iced Coffee drinkers with a pair of tickets to the highly-anticipated Boston Celtics home opener vs. Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat.
Hey marketing folks at D&D, I drink iced coffee all the time. And I'm a huge Celtics fan who just happens to run a blog with a hundred thousand avid readers. Maybe we can talk business. I'm just sayin…
