Pierce on Game 7: “I don’t think you ever forget it”

RedsArmyAdmin October 13, 2010 Uncategorized 3 Comments

How long does it take a competitive person like you to get over a seventh-game loss in the NBA [finals]? A week? A month? Ever?

I still haven’t gotten over it. It’s tough. Because you envision back, and saying, “If we could have done this different, that different in the game, it would have been a different outcome.” So, it’s hard. You think about the what ifs and all of that. I don’t think you ever forget it.

WEEI

Good.  Don't ever forget it.  At least not until you avenge it this year.  Then you can look at it as that "thing" that happened after your first title here… and right before your second one.

Lots of good stuff outta Paul in this interview… including thoughts on Shaq, Miami, and his future with the team.

You got to get over it, you just cant forget it, the thoughts will forever roam around in the back of your head, but i think we are misintepreting what PIERCE was trying to say !

Agreed. Gotta get over it, which they have. But of course they won’t forget it.

  • Joseph 17-16 (it’s just a matter of time)

“We ain’t going back to L.A.” – that’s what I remember from that sh*t talker. HAHA. Good, I’m glad this haunts Pierce. It’s going to haunt him again when the Lakers destroy the Suckdics again.
