Cuttino Mobley attempting comeback… with Celtics?

Chuck - Red's Army September 15, 2010 Uncategorized 5 Comments

Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski says the Celtics have worked out a few other players, in addition to Adam Morrison:

Celtics
workouts over past two days have included Cuttino Mobley, Rashad
McCants, Trenton Hassell and Adam Morrison, league source tells Y!

Yes, that Cuttino Mobley. The one who retired from the Knicks nearly two years ago due to a heart condition. Apparently, he's received medical clearance to play again.

McCants is a talented player with a suspect attitude. ESPN The Magazine profiled him this summer.

Hassell is a defensive specialist.

why not bring in McCants if we have a shot? 49%fg 42%3fg and 15 points a game as a T-wolf? Seems like a better option then mobley or morrison and hes only 25!

I read that article. It said that McCants has changed…of course he has. I say bring him in for a shot. Leave Morrison’s moustache off the roster. Please

Adam Morrison? Off the top of my head I cant think of a bigger bust in the last 5 years.
Mobley was a decent scorer in his day, but out of those 3 guys, I’d give McCants a shot. Mobley’s rusty & Mossison flat out sucks. McCants has alot to prove now, and I bet he can beat out Von Wafer.

McCants deserves a shot. Athletic kid who can create off the dribble and shoot the ball well. Mobley? No. No. NOOOOO. We are already too old-please Mr.Ainge. NO MOBLEY. Thanks.

I like Mobley! I just remember him doing a great job guarding P. Pierce when Rhody beat Kansas on their way to the Elite 8. Excellant shot, good defender, quick, and good in the club house. Not a long term acquisition, but good off the bench player for a few years.
