For those who aren't following me on Twitter and don't know already, I'm out in Las Vegas now covering the summer league. Ok… I'm out partying my ass off in Vegas with the Red's Army card and I'm justifying its use to our accountants by interviewing a few different people and posting it on the site. Alright? Jeez… get off my back.
So interview number 1 was Matt Janning, who was on the Celtics summer league team in Orlando, but left THAT one early to come to Vegas and join the Suns summer league squad. After another solid game… with the kind of play that earned him an invitation to Celtics training camp… I spoke to him about his impressive summer.
The one thing that stood out: He's not committing to anything yet.
Seems like he's doing the smart thing and not jumping at the first offer. I'm guessing that offer will be there later… so he's hoping a team that's a little more likely to give him some burn will step up and offer him a chance. He's done pretty well this summer, and has shown some offensive and defensive ability so another offer isn't out of the question.
