Celtics interested in Adam Morrison?

Via Hoopsworld's Alex Kennedy:

Adam Morrison workout getting ready to start. The
Bulls, Celtics, Clippers, and Cavs are among the teams in building.

Free agents Al Harrington and Melvin Ely are also
participating in the workout.

Since Al Harrington isn't likely to settle for a veteran minimum, the Celtics are likely focusing on Morrison or often-injured big man Melvin Ely.

I'd pass on both and resign Brian Scalabrine and Shelden Williams.

What about Erick Dampier? Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! says:

The Bobcats are "very likely" to waive Dampier
and his non-guaranteed $13 million salary for next season, a source
tells Y!

I actually don’t think Morrison’s a lost cause, he’s just not going to lead a team the way some thought when he was drafted. I think he could definitely be a good role player in the right situation. (This is not it.)

  • Luke Walton

    NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

We’re settling for Faker scrubs? C’mon DA, pick up a real player please. And drop Scal too.

hopefully we are looking at al harrington. Maybe we could swing a sign and trade witht he knicks for harrington with sheeds contract! i like harrington, big small forward who could provide length and scoring off the bench

I’m truly at a loss as to why Danny hasn’t made a move with Sheed’s contract yet. That is very valuable asset, but it’s becoming less and less so as time passes.

  • Roger Verganio

This is insane, why recruit a player who just play as bad as mabenga? silly but OK u may take adam for good.

  • Roger Verganio

OK, include Walton, we’re giving him to you, if you want Powell and Mabenga you can take them for free….lolll

  • DR. NO

Adam can be a really good player, but nobody want to give him a chance to show what he can do on the basketball court. this kid needs play times and the right system. doc would be the perfect coach for adam. he can be a real good bench player for the celtics this year.
