Danny squashes Perk rumor

“We’re not trying to move up,” said the Celtics president of
basketball operations, seemingly putting to rest a prevalent rumor that
the team was attempting to package the 19th pick and Kendrick Perkins in
an attempt to move into lottery range.

Instead, Ainge said, he is open to either moving down in the draft or
out altogether – the latter option a move that could save them a
scintilla of money for a veteran free agent.

Murphy makes it even simpler… saying he got a text from a league official saying

“No one trades 4 guys on operating table"

So put the Perk rumor out of your heads.

    Scintilla!
I think the earlier post that there has to be another interested party to make a trade is key. We love Perk, he compliments our team very well. But I’m not sure if the lottery teams need him as much as a top pick.

that’s what i thought, it was nothing but a stupid rumor. that’s why i never believe in those stupid rumors. it just didn’t make no since to trade perk. we need him to guard guys like howard, bogut, lopez, and shaq in the eastern conference.
