Recap: Mo steals the show

Mowill

It pains me to say this, but the man I love to call Mr. Front-runner did-in the Celtics tonight. Mo Williams scored 14 of his 20 points during the 3rd quarter as the Cavaliers fought back from an 11 point deficit and beat the Celtics 101-93.

The Celtics built a 54-43 halftime lead thanks to Rajon Rondo's (27 points, 12 assists) brilliant play. He penetrated at will. When he wasn't making twisting layups or banking home ridiculous floaters, he was finding the open man.

The offense came to a screeching halt after halftime. Cleveland clamped down on Rondo and the Celtics had no answers. The Cavs outscored Boston 58-39 in
the 2nd half.

After a hot start (4-5 FG in 1st quarter) Paul Pierce
finished 1-for-12. Like Pierce, KG (18 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists) started strong and wilted down the stretch. Six of his 10 rebounds came in the 1st quarter. He shot 1-5 in the 4th.

The Celtics bench would provide little relief. They were out scored 26-12.

At what point does Doc Rivers realize that Rasheed Wallace (13 minutes, 2 points, 1-5 FG, 2 rebounds) isn't helping the team? How can Doc bench Marquis Daniels and Nate Robinson, but continue to play Sheed?

Since Reggie Miller and Marv Albert talked incessantly about LeBron's elbow, there's no need to mention it in this post.

A couple of noteworthy stats: Both teams finished with 41 rebounds. The Celtics had 25 fouls to Cleveland's 17 (I'm just saying…).

    Ugh.

  • http://www.palacegarden.info PalaceGarden

Mo had a big third, but Doc did us in. Yes the Cavs came out more aggressive in the second, but he gummed it up worse. Sheed did diddly in the first half, did he think he would pick it up against a revved up Cavs? Why did he sit Perk in favor of stubby? Why didn’t he foul in the last minute? Why does he let the team start to walk the ball up the court? Why does he even come back out to the floor after half time.
    Ugh, I’m just cranky.

  • Donald

Could have had this one. Pierce going 1-10 in the 2nd half killed us. Garnett and Rondo did everything to get us the win in this game. Also can Marv Albert and everyone else stop with the whole “sore elbow” routine. You would think Lebron had one arm the way they were talking.

  • http://www.palacegarden.info PalaceGarden

Oh and don’t get me started on that crappy porous defense the Celtics crapped onto the floor in the third. How many lay ups did they give up?

  • Rodger

I can’t take this team anymore I’m at the point I dont think I want my nba leauge pass next year. How many double digit leads have we lost this year i know its a leauge record.
I wiil not watch another game live until weve won 3 games in this series this team makes me hurt inside.
So if they dont win 3 then tonights the last live game i’ll watch this year.

  • Caterpillar from Italy

I agree. I knew Mo would have stepped out, just like he did during reg season games, but I was shocked how in the second half Pierce disappeared, rebounding disappeared, Sheed never appeared.. we could have won it, we just threw it away.

  • Sal

    Okay. Bye. We’ll miss you.
I feel bad for anybody who didn’t see that second half coming. What hurt was going so cold from the field. The Cavs are good enough on defense that they can pressure you into making some tough shots and some long jumpers, and, well, you have to hit SOME of them to win. The deterioration of the lead was pretty much inevitable. What mattered was that they were right there throughout the 4th quarter and the shots just weren’t going down. Nothing about the defense struck me as terrible, all I saw was a great Cavs offense executing.
Rasheed needs the Old Yeller (David Ortiz?) treatment. The only purpose he could conceivably serve is pulling Shaq or the other bigs on the court out of the paint, but if I’m Shaq I’d take my chances leaving him alone.

  • DRJ

    - Cs missed at least FIVE bunnies tonight… inches from the rim… by everybody.
    - Refs were horrible… succeeded in helping take our guys out of their game. Mistake was to let the fouls bother their game, but the refs were still inexcusably bad.
    - I’m ready to have Rasheed drop dead. Right now, please. Useless piece of crap.
    - Paul AND Ray missing everything in the 2nd half? Not one, but BOTH our shooters? Seriously, it looked like the Cs were trying to lose the game in the 4th.
    - Rondo and KG were great. Rondo is always great in the playoffs. His team let him down. And the refs helped keep them down.
All in all, I feel pretty good about this series now. So many things went wrong in this game… and it was still close up to the last 1-2 minutes. I think we’re gonna take Monday.

  • sean

Again Pierce is a no-show in the second half

  • Rush

its hard enough playing the cavs, but when rasheed’s in the court, its like playing 4 vs 5.
    sit rasheed and play shelden.

  • who da guy

    the refs won this game

  • Fcking PUMPED

Mo John Legend Jr. Williams. It just had to be his bitch-ass in the third. That’s what really hurts. Oh well. Game 2 Monday, steal that one and we’re back on track.

  • http://profile.typepad.com/6p011570423591970b KobeWearsAPurpleThong

Pierce and Ticket both just couldn’t get a shot to fall in the 2nd half. We also shot a terrible percentage from behind the arc despite Ray hitting a couple big ones. The bench just didn’t get it going. I really thought we may have seen Nate come in to bring that spark and wake things up, but Doc felt differently. I felt like we blew our preverbial load in the 1st half this evening. As usual, Rondo is the bright-spot. If you want to see something amazing, go to this link for Yahoo’s NBA photos and look at each pic of Rondo from tonight. In every pic, he has 3, sometimes 4 guys on him! Every time. If we just could’ve used that to find some open looks late in the game..but woulda coulda shoulda. I have faith, and won’t give up like the pathetic poster above, (sorry dude-you can’t expect anything else for posting that lame comment) but if we do not win Game 2, or make it at least very close, we are in trouble. Here are those photos-look at how many Cavs were on Rondo all night long: http://bit.ly/d54D3r

  • Rcry

The kid stepped up big for us tonight. If not for Rondo, we probably would have been blown out of the building with the way the refs were calling this game. Too bad all he has to show for it are bruises and probably back pains. I hope the rest of the team steps up because Rondo can’t do this alone.

  • http://profile.typepad.com/6p011570423591970b KobeWearsAPurpleThong

Absolutely. So glad we signed him to that extension. I posted those pics I was talking about on my blog too. http://www.kwapt.blogspot.com

  • jacob

Our generation is privileged to witness the utter degeneration and disintegration of the NBA as we knew it. Welcome to the year 2010 where Lebron rules along with his myriad sycophants. The calls last night were disgraceful. The officials wouldn’t allow us to win this game no matter the circumstance. I hope everyone enjoys watching Lebron steamroll himself to every single MVP and tittle in the upcoming decade. This self-proclaimed messiah exhibits no style, both on and off the court, at least Kobe has a pretty game. Folks, Welcome to the NBA dark ages, where tyrants and dictators rule.

  • Double P Reppin the B

People need to quit barking about the refs. It is what it is. The bigger issue with the refs isn’t how they officiated but the fact that it had such an impact on our mindset and how much they let it get to them.
Some major things I saw tonight:
Mo’s dunk set the Cavs team and fans on fire. It’s plays like that which fuel the Cavaliers and plays like that we need to avoid cause it makes it hard on us.
I don’t think I need to talk about Rondo cause this kid just brings it every night and does it all.
Rasheed Wallace, yes im beating the dead horse, but he is done and anyone hoping he would be the game breaker I hope now realizes this guy has mailed it in and shows absolutely no effort on the court. Doc is being tantalized by his skill set and the fact he MIGHT have an ON game which are like once every 2 months.
Ray and Paul disappearing in the second half just kill you. Like Rondo said at half time, they will adjust to get the ball outta his hands and thats ” why he has the big 3, so they can step up if that happens” well they didnt.
The real issue here is I don’t think your going to get a better opportunity to win a game in Cleveland as you had here. I don’t think this series is over by any means, I jsut think this was the game to get if your gonna steal one, hopefully Monday proves me wrong.
I saw probably 4 point blank layup Misses in the last two minutes of the game and that was the ball game.

  • NBA fan

So the reason that the celtics lost is because of the refs and, for good measure, Lebron apparently sucks becuase he has no style on or off the court (whatever that means). Interesting analysis. I think that the standards used by posters on this blog for judging the correctness of a call is – 1) if the call is on Boston, the call is a bad call, and 2) if the call is on the opposing team, it is a good call (but somehow it will still screw the celtics because everyone is out to get them).
In my humble opinion, the celtics lost because the celtics went cold in the second half (in large part because the cavs brought much more energy on the defensive end), and because the celtics appear to be unable to play two quality halfs per game. Whether it is age, lack of concentration, lack of a bench, or something else, this team cannot consistently bring the A-game for 48 mintues.

  • Double P Reppin the B

Totally Agree with your analysis of the game

  • DRJ

You are correct, except for the implication that the refs were not involved. They were involved. Just because the Cs screwed up does not mean the refs did not. They clearly made it harder for the Celtics to win, as their calls were relentlessly one-sided. Still, the Cs could have won… and I expect they will win, the next one.

  • Shawn-cvd

Agreed but we should have taken this one. You foul Shaq when he gets that deep. Once at 4:40 (tie game) and once at one minute (Cavs up 3).
The changing moment to me was that transition three which Ray gave up on due to that week close out. Jesus passes poorly to PP who then misses.
What really pissed me off were those two offensive fouls in the second quarter (Where KG was ran into while holding the ball and the charge on Rondo).
Lastly the C’s absolutely must stop lazy lob passes into the post. Too many risky passes in the third helped to fuel that comeback by the Cavs.

  • jacob

I believe a bad call is underestimated, these calls take players out of the game – both literally and figuratively, take for example Rondo’s 4th foul, as an isolated incident it doesn’t really matter, but in the scheme of things it’s utterly devastating. I’ll even concede that they blew calls in our favor, but the bottom line isn’t Rondo’s alleged offensive foul, but the incessant fouls called on the celtics, which led to them being taken out of their rhythm. Sure they missed shots, but the officiating mindset is insurmountable. I want to see once a travelling violation called on Lebron, is that too much to ask for.

  • Shawn-cvd

Boston showed that the Cavs are in a dog fight. This was a lost opportunity because I felt we win game one the C’s would’ve taken it in six. Instead this may still go six but most likely seven.
Our guard play is gonna get better and if James legitimately has a bum elbow it will be banged up more over the course of an extended series.

  • nick

This cannot be stressed enough…When Antawn Jamison is in the game covering Garnett, Sheed, or Perkins on a switch…We need to post him and shoot it 99% OF THE TIME. i DON’T CARE IF WE MISS A BUNCH IN A ROW..JUST KEEP GOING AT THAT PUSSY, HIS D IS HORRENDOUS AND K.G is 10 times fucking better than him. Rondo played great he is just demolishing Mo Williams off the dribble, Pierce cannot be expected to score much more than 16 a game in this series when he has to cover Lebron so much. This loss sucks and we deff lost the battle, but I feel we’ll still win this war. If Mo didn’t get hot we had this game all day. More of Queez less of Fin for this particular series. I feel really good moving forward. We made it clear in this series that K.G and Rondo have the edge in their matchups and that will not change. now if we can get Ray going and some production from Sheed we will be fine. this is a 7 game war but I feel like we’ll prevail and face the Magic in the ECF. Lets regroup and get this shit done.

  • Fcking PUMPED

    What he said

  • mikey

    fuck refs

  • http://profile.typepad.com/6p01156f60396b970c ThatGuyOverTheOcean

Why play Sheed, WHY? I hate Doc.

  • Joseph

And that’s ONE GAME, THREE MORE TO GO.
Face it Suckdic fans, you’re team has no prayer to beat Cleveland. The Suckdics are going to be lucky to win one game.
Have a nice time going fishing
    HAHAHAHAH. YOU GUYS ARE DONE!!!

Lebron’s game is beautiful, a real art form.

Was I the only one who watched the third quarter? The Celts lost the game by giving up on every drive the Cavs made to the basket in the third (even that Williams dunk was half assed defended by Pierce). I’d have to watch it again, and my therapist has already discouraged me from doing that, but I seem to remember EVERY Cav on the floor getting to the basket for a layup.
Yes the Cavs gained momentum in the second half but it was awful defensive that gave that to them. Look at the box score folks. Our defense was consistent except in the third. Shooting goes cold, but defense should not. Anyone who is expecting us to win because our shooters shoot or our bunnies fall all the time is going to be a sad fan. The Cavs play defense as well as we do, when we play it for 4 quarters.
And yes Mikey, I know, fuck me!

  • mjm

It sure seems like you are being a bad sport because the C’s glory days are numbered. Why does LeBron’s game have to be “pretty,” he is just the best player in the league. Remember, the C’s sucked just a few years ago, and most likely will be no better than mediocre after this year and for years to come. Stop blaming this on the refs, leBron, and everyone else.

  • greenbeand

Queen James can only hide behind the reff’s for so long, you gotta like the C’s edge if this thing goes 7. Btw Mo’s gonna end up like Q: tasting KG’s ass.

  • mjm

Stop being such bad losers…the Cavs are simply the better team.

  • mjm

Why is it you all have to diss LeBron? He has been a model citizen in Cleveland, he is confident and respectful of basketball and other players…he has never been accused of being a bad guy or doing bad stuff…he is a role model, but people like many of you here just can’t gracefully accept the Cavs are better than the C’s and LeBron is better than anyone on the C’s…

  • greenbeand

i am guesing you were the tough guy riding shot gun on the short bus? http://www.hookedonphonics.com/

  • jacob

I’m not being a bad sport, I’m just disappointed that the best player in the NBA plays in my – humble opinion – with no style. Lebron’s game is all about force and aggression – no skill their. I am no bulls fan either, but I sure miss MJ – despite his dominance, the beauty and splendor in his every move. Now all I see is a beast barreling down the lane. But again, this is my humble opinion.

  • mjm

Thanks for the reply…but you should know, LeBron is a classy guy off the court. Have you ever heard anything that makes you think otherwise? Although his style may be different than MJ and Kobe, that is the nature of sports…look at this in other sports (e.g.- Brady vs. Big Ben- btw, I am a big Brady fan). We should all embrace role models off the court such as LeBron. BTW- i think the most obnoxious fans are Lakers fans.

  • http://profile.typepad.com/6p01156f2d28d7970c BigMck

Hey Mikey – I starting to see why you got banned from Celtics blog.
    Clean it up, will ya?

  • http://profile.typepad.com/6p01156f6a54c2970c ToTheRuins

That loss, to me, killed our chances of winning this series
came out great, put the cavs on there heels, gotta double digit lead on the road, playing great d, etc etc etc, and then bam all that falls apart, and we lose by double digits with another road game coming up

  • http://profile.typepad.com/6p01156f6a54c2970c ToTheRuins

    eh, no.
Celtics better team, Cavaliers have the 1 much superior player

  • http://profile.typepad.com/6p01156f6a54c2970c ToTheRuins

Get over it, the refs had no control over the outcome of that game

  • mjm

uhh…better team??? Yes, LBJ was the best player on that court, but i thought basketball is a team game, and the cavs, not lebron, won the game..right? Come on now, the C’s had their glory days, but those are over…give the Cav’s the credit they deserve and stop being a sore loser.

  • http://profile.typepad.com/6p01156f6a54c2970c ToTheRuins

    Agreed with you.
This was the road game to win, just like the Magic did in last years conference finals in cleveland.
Close, but not close enough…I actually see us getting blownout in game 2. I think we needed that game and we did everything we needed to do, and then just let it slip away

  • http://profile.typepad.com/6p01156f6a54c2970c ToTheRuins

Grow up Mikey…Nothing he said was wrong, you green tinted glasses dumbass homer…celts in 5 isnt lookin so good now? its too bad..

  • Boston Man

Lebron wouldnt give my friend an autograph. He said he was busy when in fact he was sitting on the bench watching the other plays warm up. My friend is an employee of a certain basketball team and he wanted to give Lebron’s autograph to his friend who is visiting from another country. Still he would not give the autograph.
And I’m pretty sure you saw the video of Lebron disrespecting the towel boy.

  • NineSevenEight

Are you talking about the transition play where the one of the three blind mice screened Ray from the right side? He passed it to Pierce because he saw someone coming up behind to guard him from the right side who he thought was the opponent. No. It was a ref not paying attention, integrating himself into the play, and having to jump back out of the way. I’d like to know the last time a ref thought it was a good idea to attempt to run right inside of the three point line and interfere with a basketball game in progress. Last time I checked refs are to be on the sideline, baseline and behind the three point line so as not to interfere with the game.

  • mjm

Give me a break…first of all, i think most people woulod agree that during a game (that includes pre-game warmup), approaching a player for an autograph is off limits. second, mthat video of the towel boy is just plain ridiculous. if that is the worst thing you can point out about lebron, i am ok with that…especially since just about everything he does is being watched by the world, that’s not bad at all…name me anyone that hasn’t said/done something as minor as that in their life…like not letting a car merge in yhour lane, let someone into a line, etc. he is human, and he was focused on the game, and had no intention of being disrespectful or mean spirited at all. this is exactly what i meant- looking for something that isn’t there to justify your negative (and i believe jealous) feelings about the Cavs and LBJ.

  • mjm

lebron is one of the few that is still with his high school girlfriend and noone has ever suggested he has been unfaithful or mistreat the mother of his children, noone has ever accused him of being anything other than a great father to his children. did you not see the clips of lebron during the allstar game when he was warming up with his children? i would suggest that is a better reflection of him than the examples you gave.

  • NineSevenEight

I agree and disagree. I don’t think it completely killed the Celtics chances. I just think, if there was ever a game to win, it was last night’s. Completely missed a golden opportunity. That makes Monday’s game a must win in my opinion, not just because it’s stealing homecourt, but because we all know that the Cavs could easily come into Boston and win.
    Things I liked:
    1)Rondo….speaks for himself
2)Defensive intensity in the first half
3)KG. I actually thought KG played with an “all business” mentality. I didn’t see him barking at the opponent. He looked extremely focused. He outplayed Jamison offensively and defensively for the better part of the night. I thought he, like Rondo, did his job. He even went a little vintage on us. I like what I saw from KG.
    Things I didn’t like:
    1) Third quarter defense, Celtics lost the game here.
    2) Paul and Ray. Terrible. Paul needs to take it to the basket. Make the officials blow the whistle! Eventually, they’re going to be forced to call it. Gotta do it early and often like Rondo. Mike Gorman said it last night. The Celtics went to the line 21 times and 14 of those trips were from Rondo. PP and Ray need to go to the basket and stop settling for jumpers. Going to the basket and expecting a trip to the line as the minutes dwindle in the fourth is not the time to START doing that if you’re Paul.
    3) Perk needs to find himself in the offseason. He’s been missing for the better half of the season. He needs to hit the gym and work on interior passing and catching, footwork and freethrows. He’s numbers look decent from last night. I was actually impressed with his hustle rebound that resulted in a foul called on Jamison. But he has to do more. He can’t turn the ball over in crunch time. He can’t shoot a jumper off of a turnover his team just forced. He can’t keep wasting opportunities on the offensive end.
4)Bench needs to pick up the play. Sheed should just go do something that he really loves because it’s clear basketball isn’t his passion anymore (if ever?). He’s like a statue out there. At least twice he just stood in the paint as a Cavs player was driving in the lane and he didn’t even lift a hand as they shot over him. I really don’t know why NOTHING motivates the guy.
Lastly, the Celtics need to be able to absorbs runs and respond. An 11 point lead can be erased quickly in the NBA. They need to focus and turn an 11 point lead into a 20 point lead by focusing and sticking to the game plan.

  • NBA fan

Mickey – thanks for your thoughtful comment. It appears that you have a tremendous grasp of the game of basketball. Your comments are well-reasoned and really add something to the discussion. You are a glowing example of why people that are critical of these types of forums are just dead wrong. Keep up the good work. As for your offer to f*ck me, although I appreciate the all caps, I am a little disappointed you left out the exclamation point. It makes me feel as if you are less than sincere. So I will have to decline your offer. Perhaps a more enthusiastic phrasing in the future will persuade me otherwise, but for now the answer is no.

  • Shawn-cvd

That’s the play I’m referring to. I missed that a ref had spooked Ray. I thought he was over reacting to a weak close out by that Cavs player.

  • mikey

    that’s bullshit you’re a liar

  • mikey

    shut the fuck up,
I’m not stupid the refs cheated blatantly.
    11 calls to 2.
    its bullshit

  • Mikey

    Clean what up?
The refs cheat every single game.
Why am I to blame for what they do.
They ruined the game last night.
    They ruin every single game.
But you tell me to clean it up.
They have ruined all the guys I have rooted for since 1990-91, have been a fan since 1980.
They completely demoralize and ruin this team.
    The facts speak for themselves.
Only ONCE in 20 years have the Boston Celtics been called for less personal fouls over the course of a regular season.
ONCE OUT OF TWENTY!!!! 2002-03 that was it.
    Now look at this.
Since the Celtics have been in the playoffs since 1990-91 they have played 102 playoff games.
67 TIMES THE OPPOSING TEAM SHOT MORE FREE THROWS!!!
66 TIMES THE OPPOSING TEAM WAS CALLED FOR LESS FOULS!!!
That means only 34% of the time the Celtics get more free throws or less personal fouls than their opponents in a playoff game and that includes all 26 games from the 2007-08 championship team.
Some of you know the refs cheat.
Others agree with the fix and try and persuade others.
Then there is some of you who do nothing about it.
    These people are liars.
They ruin every single Celtics games.
    I’m not stupid
1.Charge on Jamison, not on Glen Davis, because that would give Jamison 2 fouls early in the 1st that is why they made the call.
2.Mo foul, not Rondo charge, they took a basket off the board, put Rondo in foul trouble, hit Tony with a T.
3.Mo fouls Garnett, by running directly into him. Garnett shifted his upper body because other wise Mo would have knocked the wind out of him, KG was protecting himself from injury.
4.Davis got fouled by LeBron, and the call they ball out on Davis.
5.LeBron got away with 1 huge travel and scored 2 points.
    6.Shaq offensive goaltending.
I’m not stupid. The rest of you can do whatever you want.
I will never believe in these lying stupid motherfuckers.
But you want to blame me, and tell me I should clean it up.
Did I make any of the calls?
But I can’t speak my mind right?
How do you explain only 1 SEASON OUT OF 20 WHERE THE CELTICS GET LESS PERSONAL FOULS IN A SEASON THAN THEIR OPPONENT???
Go look at the box scores.
How do you explain 66 out of 102 playoff games from 1990-91 to 2009-10 where the Celtics shoot LESS Free throws than their opponent.
Its supposed to even out right.
    DOES 1-19 LOOK EVEN?
    DOES 67-35 LOOK EVEN?
    DOES 66-34 LOOK EVEN?
GO LOOK AT THE BOX SCORES.

no sore losers when people cheat
what the h are they doing to this game.

There is no sense talking about anything else from this game but the refs.
    They cheat every time.
Watch how they act to the players.
They are not cops and they act like law enforcement or some judge it is disrespectful to real law enforcement.
    This is a game.
People look towards the game to have fun, and to see them compete.
    I didn’t see a competition last night.
I saw some of the stupidest calls in the world all becuase
    1.Jamison couldn’t get an early 2nd.
    2.Mo couldn’t get an early 3rd.
3.Rondo had to get in early foul trouble.
4.Davis had to get in early foul trouble.
The Cavs are 61-21, we are on the road play great and get destroyed by the refs lose by 8 lousy points, when it was 3 with 1 minute left, and every disrespectful idiot on the internet lies and turns into a stuck up arrogant moron.
All anybody does is rip on the Celtics, they played a great game, they get cheated every single game.
If I was a Celtics last night I WOULD HAVE WALKED OFF THE F’N COURT F THE REFS.

  • mikey

See you people fall for it, but I don’t.
I know the facts, I read the box scores.
    I know the real stats.
This game is worthless, it is criminal what is going on.
No way I would play with calls like that.
I’d walk right off the court.
I NEVER NEVER EVER EVER let people disrespect me like that.

I had to watch Len Bias pass away.
    Reggie Lewis pass away.
    McHale get cheated in 1991.
Lewis & Bird get cheated in 1992.
Magic hit that stupid bankshot in 1987 when they never even had the ball.
My dad was a Celtic fan and he is sick now and only has a few years left.
My best memories were with my Dad watching Celtics games.
I hate these fags, what they do to the game.
Had the cavs won fair and square its not a big deal.
    They didn’t.
Celtics won that game last night, I’m not stupid like the rest of you.

Do you read the comments on other sites?
Line after line insulting and degrading the Celtics for no reason.
I would walk off the court if I were them.
Throw the ball at the refs face and give them the middle finger and go home hang out with my family.
    Who needs that crap.

  • mikey

    shut up lost the game.
Celtics won by 12 points last night, liar.

  • mikey

and what are they telling to me?
    Are they insulting me?
    so whats the difference?
    You never tell them anything.
Yet they insult me or the Celtics over and over again.

You’re telling me I’m saying something about the refs.
The stats say something about the refs.
Every single year they cheat them, how is anybody supposed to root or even play for this team.

Maybe we should organize an “I’m fed up with Sheed” Club.
I may be letting the fact that Shelden Williams grew up in a suburb of the city I grew up in bias me in his favor, but I want to see him get more minutes than Sheed in every remaining game. That would improve the Celtics’ rebounding at the very least.

I agree 1000% on foul number 3. Mo was heading full speed INTO Garnet. KG raised up the ball so his elbow wouldn’t get blasted then had to realign his trunk or get the wind knocked out of him.
Mo Williams should have picked up two quick fouls when you add the blocking foul (wrongfully rewarded as a charge) on Rondo.

You deserve to be punched in the mouth, knocked the fuck out, curb stomped and put out of your misery, shut your fat mouth about the refs, no they didnt cheat, and if ya think so, shut the fuck up and change the channel, and when the celtics win i guess its safe to assume its because of the refs…or are we the only team winning despite the refs?
grow the fuck up or stop watching sports

and even if u wanna whine, cry, moan, piss your diaper about the refs?
Celtics had an 11 pt halftime lead and can win any game despite any ref…youre ref talk is useless
