The Celtics will open the playoffs vs the….

We don't know yet. That's because the Miami Heat are in 2OT versus the New Jersey Nets. If the Heat win, they will play the Celtics in the opening round of the playoffs. If the Heat lose, the Celtics get the Bucks in Round 1.

As for tonight's season finale versus Milwaukee, the Bucks won 106-95.

Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Kendrick Perkins did not play. Rajon Rondo had a spectacular game – 21 points, 15 assists and 6 rebounds. Oliver Lafayette had 7 points and 4 rebounds in his Celtics debut.

The Cs finish the season at 50-32. They lost 7 of the last 10 games.

@BigMck: PLEASE ask RedsArmy about the drunk girl dancing a few rows down from us. The performance she put on beat anything else happening at the Garden tonight. Now BRING ON THE HEAT!!

Ugh. Not the way to go into the playoffs… This should be interesting
Although i was hoping we get the Heat because I think the celtics could use a tougher opponent with a dominant player like wade to get them ready for cleveland. that is IF we make it thru the first round

I’m OK with this loss. Would have loved to have seen a W for the end of the season, but considering that strategically (if the Nets had pulled out the win) it could have set us up against the Bucks… not too bad. Especially considering that we sat 4/5 of our starters and played a guy from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants who I hadn’t even heard of before today. Pretty impressive showing.

If you check the standings, it’s one of the worst records about all teams, and it’s the worst one for playoffs teams..
Is it the right way to go into playoffs? I don’t know, but I don’t think. I hope the C’s in 6 prediction is gonna happen, but it’s gonna be very, very hard.

Doc seems to agree, giving Oliver Lafayette, Shelden Williams and Brian Scalabrine heavy minutes…

Here comes a lot of hating on referees giving Wade every call… Remember the ’06 finals!
