Celtics/Kings Game Preview

Chuck - Red's Army March 26, 2010 Uncategorized 1 Comment on Celtics/Kings Game Preview

Celtics (46-25) vs Kings (24-48)

Game time: 7:30pm, TD Garden. TV – CSN. Radio –
WEEI-AM (850).

Team Leaders

Bos: Pierce – 18.1                  Kings: Tyreke Evans 20.3

Bos: Perkins – 7.6
Kings: Jason Thompson – 8.3

Bos: Rondo – 9.7                    Kings: Evans – 5.6

Who'll go off:  The starting 5 (I don't expect much resistance from the Kings tonight).

Who needs to be stopped:  Carl Landry. The 6-9 PF came via Houston in the Kevin Martin, Tracy McGrady swap. Landry is averaging 17 points in 12 games with the Kings.

The C's will lose if…  Don't sleep on the Kings bench. Omri Casspi dropped 19 points and Jason Thompson swatted 4 shots in the Celtics 95-92 squeaker over the Kings on Feb. 17.

Miscellany:  The Kings Tyreke Evans (concussion) and Jon Brockman (sprained right knee) are
out. With one more victory, the Celtics clinch the Atlantic Division crown. Tony Allen is 7-for-8 from the floor in his last two games. The Kings are coming off a 93-79 loss to the Nets.

Prediction:  Celtics 118 – Kings 97

Breaking News: Gilbert Arenas was sentenced to 30 days in a halfway house for his gun offense.

I think that was a fair sentence for Arenas. Yeah, it was a stupid thing to do. Really stupid. But no one got hurt, and it wasn’t even a legitimate threat. He’s already millions by not playing. Plus prisons are overcrowded anyways. Whatever.
