Celtics (37-21) vs. Bobcats (28-30)

Game time: 7:30pm, TD Garden. TV – CSN. Radio – WEEI-AM (850)

Team Leaders

Scoring
Bos: Pierce – 17.8                  Bobcats: Stephen Jackson - 21.0

Rebounding
Bos: Perkins – 7.9                  Bobcats: Gerald Wallace - 10.6

Assists
Bos: Rondo – 10.0                  Bobcats: Raymond Felton – 5.2

Who'll go off:  Ray Allen. He's averaging 22.5 ppg and 56% 3FG in two games vs Charlotte this season.

Who needs to be stopped: Stephen Jackson. He brings the most firepower on a team that ranks 28th in scoring.

The C's will lose if…  The Cs have owned the Bobcats this year (92-59 win on Oct.28, 108-90 win on Dec. 1), yet they are nearly equal in all the major statistical categories. If the Celtics do not give max effort on both ends of the floor, we might be dealing with another head-scratching loss.

Miscellany: The Celtics and Bobcats are giving up 94.3 ppg, tied for 1st in the NBA. The Celtics are 5-7 in their last 12 games at the Garden. Charlotte is 8-22 on the road. The Bobcats are coming off an 89-84 home loss to Dallas on Monday night. Charlotte centers Nazr Mohammed (back spasms, illness) and Tyson Chandler (ankle) both missed Monday's game.

Prediction:  Celtics 96 – Bobcats 95

A one point win? Brimming with optimism. Good q, is Perk going?

  • ssshady35 aka ANGRY TURK

I would start Williams if Perk is a no go.

  • ssshady35 aka ANGRY TURK

Actually I would bench davis and give more minutes to Williams

really says a lot about the team. We’ve destroyed them both times we’ve played this year and yet you only predict a one point win.

  • Time for a Blockbuster Trade Baby!

Geez. You’re all over williams balls aren’t you!

Just saw 2nd q. If Pierce gets healthier he will return to being the assassin we needs. His fakes, turns and drives looked good ! We’ve had Bobcats number blow them out!

  • ssshady35 aka ANGRY TURK

That’s what you were able to gather from by two posts…..F-in loser

  • Time for a Blockbuster Trade Baby!

You’re the fag making redundant posts!

I think it might be wise to give pierce a little rest right now. Wallace is playing smash-knuckle defense – no need to re-injure that thumb when we’re up 20.

Nice – Pierce is sitting. Good to see nate back in there playing aggressively.

This game is great…not because it is a blow-out, but the starters are getting some nice rest, the bench is getting some time, and I am loving watching Tony and Nate. Plus, there was a shot of a Pierce looking so happy watching from the bench. I hope we build from this point, and not get cocky. Poor Charlotte. Even without their centers, I am surprised it is this bad in their third outing.

Your mother doesn’t think so ;)

Nate is doing what I’ve said. His ability to put up points will keep our second unit on the floor. In turn our starters will get much needed rest.
