Kobe might miss tomorrow’s game

Via the Herald:

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Kobe Bryant said a while ago at Laker practice here that he’s not playing tomorrow night against the Celtics — but then he opened the door a crack by saying he could go if his left ankle feels significantly better tomorrow morning. …

Pau Gasol also talked about KG, and how he's not looking like himself.  Way to go, master of the obvious.

hey, just wondering…what’s your beef with Gasol?

  • josh

I respect Pau for his talent, I just don’t like him due to him being a laker. Otherwise, he seems fine. Kinda looks like an ostrich…but that’s out of his control.

  • KY Celts fan

I don’t mind not seeing him play, but of course if we lose, it just makes the trolls that much more cocky. And no one wants that.
It must be a pretty bad sprain to keep him out like two weeks.

  • He’s soft and he’s a Laker.
I think that’s pretty much enough for right now.

  • Champ

Yawn. Yes the Celtics are so HARD! They are not SOFT like Pau and the Lakers.
Lakers = World Champs. I guess I don’t mind them being soft, since they win.
And KG is becoming a caricature of himself, it’s getting to become embarrassing. Have some self respect KG!

I though more like a Llama. I was hoping KoMe would play, I think it hurts the Fakers more and gives us a better chance to scheme for them defensively.

To me he looks very unhealthy. Like a zombie. Anytime I see him up close I shout “brains!!”. It’s actually the nickname I’ve given him…”Brains”.
If he actually is a zombie that would explain his soft play. Resident evil and undead movies prove a shove will get a single zombie off of you.

…i read your blog quite often. I think its pretty funny and entertaining. Im not the type of person to talk crap about a basketball team or give dumb nicknames to players. I love the game of basketball and i can respect an opponent even if they are bitter rivals against my lakers. So ur answer, although a bit immature, is ok with me. Seeing what your team is going through, I understand your frusteration.

  • Lakerfan

See, thats the type of answer I was looking for. Yeah although I’m a laker fan me even i know he looks like joe camel. That being said, his talent is off the charts.
All im saying, is respect the man for his game.

call us softt 😀 you guys lost to soft players then 😀

  • SorryMan

LMAO i cannot wait for the kobe-less lakers to beat you guys tomorrow.
Here are some stats for the last four games without our MVP:
    At Portland Trailblazers
    San Antonio Spurs
    At Utah Jazz
    Golden State Warriors
All four games won, and won by an average of 13.5 Points, all teams except for Warriors (94) held to under 90.
    I will enjoy tomorrow’s beating

It’s obvious they both respect and fear the Laker’s game, as they usually only attempt to go after how a player looks, stupid things he says, where he wasn’t perfect, etc.
Meanwhile, The Lakers have a far superior record and team.
    Do the envious math.

  • PaulPierceWannaBeGangsta

I’m confused, is the “soft” label worse than the “old” label?
Who’s supposed to be hurt here? Can’t keep up.

  • Shawn-cvd

I do respect Gasol’s game. It’s just color, entertainment.

  • Shawn-cvd

How is it envious? Nicknames are just fun and passing time watching a two plus hour game.
Last time the Green had the Lakers contained for 3+ quarters. I’m fine going seven games against the Fakers. It would be a great series.
hey wannabegangsta :I’ve never burned calories heading over to Laker sites to leave comments.
Apparently winning the championship is not validation enough for you…

  • Shawn-cvd

Love the trash talking. No Kobe = no chance. Despite our struggles you needed ANOTHER bail out by Bryant. Ray will go OFF without having to contain Kobe. Celtics by 6.
