Camby to Portland – Nate still likes Boston

Via CBS Sports:

The Trail Blazersand Clippershave completed a trade sending Marcus Cambyto Portland for Steve Blake, Travis Outlaw and cash considerations, sources told CBSSports.com.

The deal, which fills the void left by season-ending injuries to centers Greg Odenand Joel Pryzbilla, received league approval Tuesday afternoon, sources said.

Meanwhile, it's been a quiet day in Boston.  Nate Robinson says he'd be open to a deal, but only to Boston. LA or Orlando.

What do you think?  Nate in Boston?  It's not the first time we've heard he'd like to play here.

bring him in. We tried Marbury. How bad can Nate be.
marquis has a history of injury.. Eddie is MUCH better in the 2 spot.
Let Nate run point for 15 minutes a game

If we can get Nate without giving up much (which I doubt), I’m in favor of him, his scoring, and his energy coming to Boston.
Whatever chemistry baggage he has is nowhere near the level of Starbury’s… and listening to him gues commentate on the rookie-sophomore game, he had something nice to say about everyone. Can’t be that much of a jerk.

Good pick up for Blazers. I will be there Friday nite to see Perk make Camby his bitch.
If we can get Nate cheap, pull the trigger Danny. F#ck do something Danny, the rumors are wearing me out.

Easy trade for nate. Expiring contract plus a 1st round draft pick.

Or let deadline laps and he’ll come here after negotiating a buy out.
BTW in Orlando he’ll get NO playing time with the log jam at PG. So he’ll come here or to LA in this scenario.

I don’t see Phil Jackson adding to his collection of small guards in L.A. In fact, I’m shocked he has that many small guards playing for him right now.

    Bring on the Nater-Tot.

    I don’t like him.
Plus, I don’t think he’s the kind of player the C’s need.
We should get Amar’e or another scoring center like Bogut.

Nate’s just a jokey type of guy, a bit too light-hearted for uptight coaches like D’Antoni. Marbury on the other hand, was a malcontent nutcase. Anyway, Nate WANTS to play here, so he’ll make sure to behave. It would take a strong character to stay focused in the mess that is the Knicks.
I wouldn’t have minded trading Eddie for him, but tehn Eddie just HAD to light it up last night. Ohhhh Eddie (and Sheed for that matter, and TA, and Big Baby…..see a pattern?), just too inconsistent
