Enemy Chatter: Boston Shut Their Water Off

Chuck - Red's Army February 6, 2010 Uncategorized 1 Comment

I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers
are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose
of 'enemy chatter' from New Jersey.

For more than three quarters, all we know and all we believe was
being seriously challenged. For more than three quarters, the Earth
spun off its axis, Columbus discovered shaving cream, the square root
of nine was a six-pack of slate shingles.

For more than three quarters, the Nets led the Celtics.

Then when it looked like the Celtics were ready to take control of the
game, the Nets showed some rare fortitude, going punch-for-punch
throughout most of the third quarter. After Lopez and Kris Humphries botched up a defensive rebound and Lopez tipped the ball into the wrong
basket to give the Celtics a 66-65 lead, Lopez put eight straight
points into the right basket, including a powerful two-handed jam that
put the Nets up 73-71 with 30 seconds left in the quarter. They went
into the fourth leading 73-72.

Rajon Rondo is 3 times better then Devin Harris in every single aspect
of the game…except maybe flopping, Devin’s great at that.

Antoine – Nets Daily

Has any player regressed more than Devin Harris? Clearly my most embarrassing moment is the day I advocated trading Harris for Rajon Rondo.
