Let the hype begin

RedsArmyAdmin January 30, 2010 Uncategorized 21 Comments on Let the hype begin

This is the latest video from LD2K of The Lakers Nation… and the message is simple:  Kobe is a mythical God and the Celtics are animals trying to take him down.

Are we gonna stand for that?

The last 2 games be damned.  This one is different.  I hope the Celtics understand that.

Man, just cross your fingers that they’ll make it past the first round this year.

  • larry

i don’t know about you guys, but i don’t think this game could of happened at a better time for boston.it’s gut check time.!they will be focused, it’s the lakers…

  • nick

very disgusted about the Celts last 2 losses, but I’ve come up with a great trade to fix the losing, and get us back on track to win the title! Tell me anyone on this site, what you would think about Ray, TA, and Scal for Andre Iguodala and Samuel Dalembert. Both these guys are having great years and we would have a much more athletic team and an absolutley huge front-line addeing Dalembert who is 7’1 and very long. Iguodala is the most underrated guy in the league. we need a shot in the arm in my humble opinion

Enough with the “rivalry”. The goal is a ring.
I understand this season if the Celtic’s marketing team and fans think making a game against the Lakers a big deal, seeing as how Boston may not make it through the first round of the playoffs at this rate. But the hype is so lame, so obvious, and so transparent.
It’s no longer Lakers Vs. Celtics…..it’s Celtics Vs. Anyone. It’s obvious anyone can beat ’em now.

  • PaulPierceWannaBeGangsta

That being said, that video is beyond lame. No matter what teams are involved, or who made it. Movie voice over drama? Please. Worse than the intros on TNT or ABC during the playoffs.
See you tomorrow. and bring that panic button.

  • Double P Reppin the B

two close losses against top tier talent and we won’t make it past the first round? This is getting ridiculous we are still 3rd in the East given everything that is wrong with this team right now. stop the hate we are gonna win tomorrow and be just fine. mark my words

  • I bleed green in L.A.

I agree larry, this is a great test for them. They’re at home, coming off a couple close-ish losses and they better get pissed off about it. If the Flakers roll over us, then we’re gonna be the ones that are soft now. Sheed didn’t bring toughness, just attitude. KG doesn’t seem to have the same mental intensity and BBD needs to start being a wrecking ball down low. If we go down early this game, Doc needs explode and get kicked out to fire up this team and get Tibs into the guys heads about DEFENSE and NO EASY LAYUPS! At the very least get some guys bloody.

  • randy

this is a game that can get out of hand quick. you gotta be physical and rough with this laker team from the beginning. if we do that then we should be good. but if we are lazy and play piss poor defense from the start the lakers got this. they are one of the more clutch teams in the nba so dont want this to be a close game.

  • Joey

Randy, you’re right, unless the Lakers decide to give the ball to Pau Gasol in the final 2 minutes of the 4th…Andrew Bynum, although not exactly proven, has shown in the past that he’s good in the end of games. When Kobe fouled out against the Bobcats last season, Bynum took over, but the Lakers lost because Phil took out Bynum for Gasol, and Sasha shot one of the worst shots I’ve ever seen. If it’s close, I hope to see Brown, Kobe, Artest, Odom, and Bynum in. And Fisher in if the Lakers need a score.

  • Joey

And Pau Gasol is the reason the Lakers lost to the Cavs (other than that terrible loose ball foul on Artest, which was just to guarantee a Cavs win by the refs).

  • Celtics1anddone

Sorry Lep fans, your in for a routing

  • The C’s have to get it together and make a statement by beating LA. The puppets will always worship Kobe but we all know its all hype and he obviously wears a purple thong.

  • PaulPierceWannaBeGangsta

If you win tomorrow, how would “everything” be fine? One win?
So if the Lakers win, “everything” is wrong?
    Solid logic.

  • PaulPierceWannaBeGangsta

    Nervous chatter in here….hmmmmm…..

  • Tollbooth Willie

Why does Kobe McRapey always have that expression on his face like someone just held a turd under his nose?
Oh yeah, I forgot. His locker must be next to Gasol’s.

  • Rondopaula

Trade for hinrich TA, scal, house, pick. Hinrich just 29, could replace ray in starting 5 next 2-3 yrs. Sign ray to 5 mil or less as bkup sg. Celts hav basicaly same team.

  • PaulPierceWannaBeGangsta

Stinky athletes, wow. From, like, sweating and stuff?
    Good one.

  • zippittyay
