Memphis
has been awarded Lester Hudson off waivers, a league source tells Y!
Sports. The Celtics let the rookie point guard go this week.

Memphis
had scouted Hudson a great deal at nearby Tennessee-Martin, before
Boston had picked him with the 58th pick of June Draft.

Hudson's
a Memphis native and will sit in stands with GM Chris Wallace tonight.
"He's very happy," his agent, Lance Young, wrote in email.

Hudson will compete with Mike Conley, OJ Mayo, Jamal Tinsley and Marcus Williams for playing time. Good luck to the kid.

See ya later, Lester the Molester.

I’m very happy for the kid. I think there’s a better-than-even chance that the kid will shine, and that one day Danny (and Doc) will regret that they ever let him go.

Sam Young gets minutes at the 2 for Memphis, as well. He has had some big games so far this year, and he’s a really long, energetic 6’6” swingman. Lester might beat out Marcus Williams’ lazy ass in the rotation, but he might not get many opportunities.
Regardless, I like Lester. Good luck to him.

I was pulling for him. I thought he had the right toughness and attitude as well as being able to score, pass, and rebound.
Happy or him, sad for us.
