Rondo Still Lagging in All-Star Votes

Here's the 2010 NBA All-Star Balloting Update – Eastern Conference

LeBron James (Cle) 1,769,287; Kevin Garnett (Bos) 1,467,365; Chris Bosh
(Tor) 724,317; Paul Pierce (Bos) 366,234; Josh Smith (Atl) 334,338;
Andre Iguodala (Phi) 228,343; Danny Granger (Ind) 213,371; Michael

Guards: Dwyane Wade
(Mia) 1,719,359; Allen Iverson (Phi) 930,713; Vince Carter (Orl)
745,581; Ray Allen (Bos) 510,885; Gilbert Arenas (Was) 445,473; Derrick
Rose (Chi) 385,829; Joe Johnson (Atl) 329,100; Rajon Rondo (Bos)
; Jose Calderon (Tor) 157,354; Mike Bibby (Atl) 155,078.

Dwight Howard (Orl) 1,681,897; Shaquille O'Neal (Cle) 609,486; Al
Horford (Atl) 178,360; Andrea Bargnani (Tor) 168,684; Brook Lopez (NJ)
154,362; Andrew Bogut (Mil) 143,545; Jermaine O'Neal (Mia) 111,065;
Rasheed Wallace (Bos) 87,590; Kendrick Perkins (Bos) 56,598; Samuel
Dalembert (Phi) 53,880; Tyson Chandler (Cha) 44,279; Brad Miller (Chi)

The Vote Rondo campaign has failed miserably, huh? I was really hoping he'd beat out Derrick Rose. Fortunately, Rondo is a lock to make the team as a reserve.

How the hell does Bargnani have more votes than Kendrick Perkins? Does he have all of Italy voting? Are Celtics fans even voting?

If you care about the Western Conference, you'll find the latest tally after the jump.

  • Seriously some NBA fans should lose the right to vote. Not just for the NBA All-Stars. But to vote in national, state, or local elections. How can AI and Tracy McGrady be in second place respectively. I guess my old adage comes true 49.9% of Americans are dumber than the average American. That means you got a one out of two chance of meeting a dummy!!!!!!

  • Al

    Gotta be the most laughable aspect for sure…Ai has been terrible and TMac hasn’t played!!!

  • I can’t understand why do you guys always get pissed at it. It’s a useless game, as Chuck said in a related post about a year ago, and it’s not a game for the best but a game for the stars; if the people want to see overrated players who never won a single playoff series and stats amassers, let them have what they want. ASG don’t mean absolubtely nothing when June comes.
    I’d vote any forward for not having Garnett go to Dallas… Amir Johnson, Jared Dudley, anyone. Don’t make the C’s go there, let them have a week off, which will be good after the many injuries we’ve seen in the last two weeks.

  • I agree with the last part of your comment. If I voted I would vote against the Celtics players only because it is meaningless and I would rather they sit at home and rest.

    You think Perk is getting robbed?
    What about Chris Kaman? He’s not even on the list!!!

  • Al

    I think Kaman and Zach Randolph either didn’t wanna be nominated or just weren’t cos both are walking double doubles and aren’t on the list….

  • How often do you see an ally-oop lob play with 6 seconds left designed for a point guard? Rajon should be the starting PG in the East.

  • meant .6 seconds left.

    Rondo’s style of basketball is so cold and mechanical. He’s like a terminator robot when he executes, destroying the hopes of the opposition. Someone should make a rondo mix on youtube to “Cold as ice” by M.O.P.

  • JD

    Well I’d say his “style” his free wheeling and smooth flowing, not mechanical. But his demeanor is definitely cold and mechanical.

  • zauer

    List was made at start of the season, so maybe nobody thought they gonna play so good
