Celtics (23-6) at Warriors (8-21)

Game time: 10:30pm, Oracle Arena, Oakland, CA. TV – CSN. Radio – WEEI-AM (850).

Team Leaders

Scoring
Bos: Pierce – 18.2                  Warriors: Monta Ellis – 25.2

Rebounding
Bos: Perkins – 7.8                  Warriors: Anthony Randolph  6.5

Assists
Bos: Rondo – 9.5                    Warriors: Monta Ellis – 5.2

Who'll go off:  Rajon Rondo. He will bounce back from last night's debacle at the free throw line. Rondo also put forth one of his best performances of the season against the Warriors at the Garden – 18 points, 12 assists, 7 rebounds.

Who needs to be stopped:  Monta Ellis. The young guard is one of the most electrifying scorers in the league. He struggled against the Celtics in the first meeting, shooting just 8-for-21.

The C's will lose ifThey get caught up in Golden State's run-and-gun style of play. They can wear down the injury-riddled Warriors by playing tough, aggressive defense and punishing them in the paint.

Wildcard:   The Celtics have lost 5 straight games in northern California. The Celtics beat the Warriors 109-95 on November 18. Monta Ellis has played at least 45 minutes in 8 of the last 11 games. Andris Biedrins (lower back strain) is questionable for tonight's game.

Prediction:  Celtics 112 – Warriors 102

Jesus just lost my train of thought…no wonder the Warriors concentration comes and goes…
I’d love to see a dominant performance from KG and Perk tonight – the Warriors have Randolph up front and that’s it…Nelson will try and run us off our feet with his array of speedy guards who bomb away from inside and outside…can we stay with it? We know Ray will struggle to stay in front of Ellis so Rondo might have to cover him – since Davis just went off for 24-13 against him I hope he has focus tonight defensively.
Ellis is turnover prone so with Tony Allen and Rondo out there lets hope we get him flustered…

Also dunno who will cover Maggette – he’s been superb lately barrelling to the hole – in fact we could do with him on our team….

hasn’t anthony randolph fallen completely out of favor with the warriors; if i was danny i would try to swing a trade for him; even if we have to give up a player like big baby, he has tons of potential and would help us when we play teams that play athletic big threes at the power forward position like atlanta, philly, and to a much lessor extent orlando
i wonder if we could get the deal done though
another thing i was thinking about was, if we took jarred jeffries or eddy curry back from the knicks for our expiring contracts, we could have pretty much any player on their team we wanted, jordan hill, danilo, the point guard from wake forest, or we could try to work out a three team deal; say we involve new jersey, im pretty sure we would be able to come out of that deal with terrence williams and toney douglas, by just giving up expiring contracts and at the most big baby
point is i think the celtics should be able to make a deal with all the expiring contracts they have and absolutely fleece a team, because we should exactly care about cap room for next year at this point

Randolph has started recently – he’d have to against us wouldn’t he?? Who knows with Nelson – Randolph is a talent though, no doubt – dunno if he’d get much burn with us…I’d rather have Maggette coming in, going to the hole off the bench, racking up fouls on the opposition. Dunno how we’d swallow his contract though…
