In a game I didn't think they would win, the Celtics dominated the Thunder from start to finish and won 105 – 87.

Kevin Garnett continued his torrid shooting. He finished with 23 points on 10-11 FG, and 8 rebounds.

Paul Pierce carried the play in the first half – scoring all of his 21 points.

Up 11 at the break, KG and Rajon Rondo wouldn't let the Celtics slip in the 3rd quarter. Garnett scored nine consecutive points, including three dunks during the first 5 minutes of the second half. Rondo scored 13 of his 15 points in the 3rd on a variety of drives to the basket. The Celtics outscored OKC 28-16 and the game was over.

The Celtics finish their road trip a perfect 4-0. They've now won 7 straight and are playing better than they were at the start of the season.

i never got to watch the game…but i am very glad with the outcome. I am however watching the lakers heat game…and the complete and utter bias towards the fakers is just disgusting. They according to mr bald van gundy, are far superior, and the only team that has a slight chance to upset them is the celtics. Sounds a lot like two years ago. And then he just said that Artest, Gasol, and Bynum are the best passing frontline in recent memory! whatever he is smoking, i want some of it, now! Because if he thinks that they are a better passing front line Perk, Kg, and pierce, then he is just stupid. He was just counting starters, but go ahead and put lamar on the fakers, and rasheed, marquis, and big baby on the cs, i still think our front is way better at passing. i just can’t wait for june, and i hope we stay healthy

From the Cavaliers Bulls game, Noah and Lebron exchanged words over the Cavaliers dancing and celebrations before the game was over.
Sources @ the bench on what Joakim said to LeBron: “This is so ****ing old” + the clincher that got LJ coming at him: “You’re a b****.”

  • Nora

LJ can’t handle the truth. LOL

  • DRJ

This was a terrific game. KG looks ALL the way back, save maybe an inch or two more on his vertical leap. Everything else about his game is back, better than ever.
Ray’s game was so-so… didn’t matter a whit. Liked watching PP smother Durant, as much as that is possible, in Q3. All-in-all, a great game to watch. Uh… I guess this WAS a trap game, as some predicted. The Thunder got trapped into thinking the Cs, a bunch of geezers, would kick back in this last road game. Yeah, they kicked all right, but it was ass, not back.
One small point: I thought the refs were excellent in this game. Even the Gorman-denounced 8-second violation called on PP in Q1 was ok with me… he did take more than 8 seconds to bring the ball up. That’s all we can ask of them… be accurate, be fair. I can only wish that all NBA games were called this well.

I can’t put my finger on the reason, but suddenly I’ve completely reversed my opinion on Noah. Odd.

  • angsty

on fire? hit this mix up.. =)
    have a great weekend guys.

  • Christopher

You and me both. Couldn’t stand the guy, but glad someone finally was willing to face to face rattle LeBron. The dancing was ridiculous tonight–as was the confetti by the Lakers after beating the Heat tonight. It’s another in the win column, not a championship.

  • celtics suck
  • Nora

I will be enjoying the fact that Lakers will actually have to play some road games. Must be nice to have only played 4 road games.

  • paul

can’t wait until we come to LA and mad max road warrior beast their punk asses

  • I just looked at that, seriously only 4 road games. The Spurs have 5 and everyone else has between 8-11. Way to go schedule makers. I don’t understand how there could be that big of a deficit. But it all evens out in the end, except for the fact the Lakers and Clippers get 2 extra home games a year, but that really can’t be avoided.

  • angsty

yeah. thanks. you just showed us that you needed a last second basket to win a game, while we won it at the end of the 3rd quarter….

  • I watched the game and heard the same stuff. I felt like I was watching a Lakers broadcast team. VanGundy must be on their payroll.

  • Ummm….do you really let this stuff get to you?
The lakers are good, should be the favorite and do have the best passing frontline, and the celtics do have the best chance of knocking them off
The ending of that game sucked tho..lol

  • KG is playing great…but i just wonder how much someone saw him play in his prime if they think hes “all the way back”
all the way back, as in this is about as good as he can do? because 7/8 boards a game doesnt exactly convince me the best rebounder of the generation is all the way back…jus sayin

  • Great shot. Wade blew it by missing a free throw.

  • Great shot, enjoyable game to watch
doesnt effect me one way or another

  • How about our boy KG right up in KD’s face in the 2nd quarter? Read about it this morning and then found a clip. AWESOME.
Some key things: our defense was relentless tonight. Our rotations were quick, but more importantly, there was just lots of defensive intensity. We didn’t take too many plays off. We ran the floor really well tonight: we had our fast break points but also got back on transition defense so well. Finally, our bigs just dominated theirs. Simple as that. Our bigs are stronger, quicker, and spread the floor much more effectively.
4-0 road trip. A great early stocking stuffer.

  • The Spurs have that annual Rodeo road trip in the middle of the season so their early schedule is always home heavy. It’s annoying that the Lakers will go five weeks without leaving California (their last road game was against GS) but in the end it all evens out. I just wish the national media would at least mention their favorable schedule so far when oohing and aahing about their record.

  • who da guy

Two years a go they were the “supposed” favorites…and no one outside of boston gave us much of a chance, and we all know what happened.
I don’t like bias, in anything, but especially in sports. And so yea, what he said did upset me, more about the passing frontline quote.
Artest is not as good a passer as pierce, KG is so much better at passing the ball then Gasol, that its not even funny, and if u think bynum is a better passer then perk, y don’t u move to LA. the only one i can see is lamar, who i think is better then rasheed, except we have big baby, and marquis plays on our frontline as well. So all in all i think we have a much better passing frontline, and we have better team chemistry, namely because we don’t have some dousche named kobe on our team

  • DRJ

    Well said 🙂

  • DRJ

KG is now #15 for best FG% in the league. Another 3 or 4 games like he’s been having, and he’ll have the best FG% by a non-center. Not sure, but I don’t think he’s ever been this good in that area.
He’s defending now as well as I’ve ever seen. His energy and mobility are great. His passing is terrific. As I said though, he probably still has another couple of inches to go on his vertical leap. That’s all that I see missing at this point.
Gonna love to see the game where PP, KG and Ray are all at their best, and Rondo and Perk continue as they are. It won’t matter who the opponent is… it will be blowout time.

  • Again, KG is playing great..but to say his defense is as good as its ever been is ridicoulous, and hes not rebounding like he has his entire career, there at an all time low as of now.
as for his fg%, yeah the guys shooting lights out right now, bc no teams double team him, and hes literally almost wide open everytime he gets the ball from rondo..
He wont shoot this good the rest of the year, that should go without saying
His all around game can and should still go to another level
