Quis to Get Time With Paul, Ray

The Celtics have a 3pm tip-off against the Raptors. According to the Herald, Doc will be experimenting with a new combination:

Today’s game will feature a new combination of Pierce, Allen and
Marquis Daniels on the floor at the same time. Daniels will be the
point guard in this configuration.

It will be fun to watch 'Quis play with some of the starters. He still doesn't seem 100-percent comfortable with the offense, but I'm sure he'll come around. The video shows assistant coach Armand Hill working with Daniels during Friday night's practice in Lowell.

Mark Murphy also reports the starters will play extended minutes in today's game and Tuesday in NY. The final preseason game is Wednesday against the Cavaliers. Don't expect the starters to play at all in that game.

After the jump, the only good thing about the Lakers.

Yeah, today will be the last time we see any significant P.T. from Ticket, P2 and Ray. Rondo and Perk probably too. In a way that’s good-I’d love to see guys like JR, Lester and Sweets get some more time to show us what they’ve got. This should be entertaining & competitive today, as Toronto’s fans are always into it-preseason or not. Plus I’m sure Doc has spoken to the frontcourt about Bosh dropping 20 ist half pts on them the other night. I feel bad for anyone heading over to Foxboro today (unless they’re in a suite). What a terrible day to sit/stand outside for 3 hours.

Well if Marquis is starting, does that mean Rondos coming off the bench? I know that blurb didn’t specify that he’s starting, but it sort of insinuates it. Anyway, I think itd be kind of cool to see both situations (quis with starters, Rondo leading the bench).
