Here are some notable comments following last night's game:

Rasheed Wallace (Yahoo! Sports via AP):

“It’s going to work out to be dangerous,” Wallace said. “He’s (KG) excited,
he’s ready to go. I feel the same way. I’m always hyped up. I’m playing with a
good team, I’m playing with a bunch of guys who know how to play this game.”

Kevin Garnett (Boston.com):

“I felt good, I thought I ran well,’’ Garnett said. “Sprint-wise I was
not where I want to be. I didn’t play for a whole quarter and, after
six months, you’ve got to warm it back up, you know what I mean? For
the most part, I felt great out there, I wasn’t hesitant out there,
there was no pain. I’m still not where I want to be. Like I said, it’s
progress.’’

"Obviously, playing against the guys we have on this team every day, you
have no choice but to get better. I just wanted to see where I was. For
the most part, the talking, reaction, it was all there for me.
Everything’s coming back. Doc’s on my rear end about attacking and
being aggressive, and all that’s just flow. The game is so fast and I
was just trying to take it all in and let it all come back to me. It’s
all flow. It’s all repetition and getting back into the flow. Like a
kid in a candy store, running around with his head cut off; I just have
to slow down a little bit.’’

Paul Pierce on the golf bag type compression unit placed around KG's knee (ESPN):

"They got his leg on life support. When I was hurt, they told me to go home, take some Robitussin and put some ice on it."

Pierce on crossing the border from Hidalgo, TX to Mexico (Boston Herald):

“I think I’d be scared,” he said. “You keep hearing stories about all
of those drug cartels, and tourists getting jacked, and people pushing
drugs. I’m gonna stay right at home, man.”

That last quote is pretty random.. But hey its Celtics news!

I want to know what candy store KG goes to so I can stay away from it.
Mangled metaphors: further proof KG is getting back to his old self!

I love that Pierce dropped the Chris Rock “Tussin” line.

Unfortunately I had to miss the game. What is everyone’s take on Hudson and Giddens?
I do not see significant numbers for Giddens but that does not mean he was not playing some D

Giddens didn’t do much out there. He was neither good nor bad IMO.
Hudson showed some good hustle. He showed some flashes. I think he’s got some potential there.

    Thanks!
Bummer, I was hoping Giddens would show something.
Glad to hear about Hudson though. From everything I have read he seems like a winner. With Daniels playing OK PG they may just keep Hudson and feel secure about that spot and groom him in the D-League
And Giddens might just lose his spot to Sweetney if he is not careful.

Man, Paul Pierce has definitely become a p*ssy since living in Boston.
Paul – you’re from Ingle-HOOD, mother f’er, what happend to you!!!

  • Chuck Love

What happened since he’s been in Boston? UMMM, he got stabbed like 10 times! Why would he want to put himself at risk as a rich star in Mexico? No hood in the USA has a thing on Mexico. Mexico makes Inglewood look like the OC

Oh that’s right I forgot, you guys loveed Paul Pierce so much that you guys stabbed him.
