NBA Live 10 looks kinda amazing

RedsArmyAdmin September 7, 2009 Uncategorized 12 Comments

Video of the gameplay is starting to come out… and all I can say is wow.  Just look at the little things… like the shorts swaying as the players move.  The direction the point guard is giving as he dribbles up the floor.  At 3:20, check out Andrea Bargnani checking to see if his head was cut.

The realism is just amazing.

I have to say that is amazing John. I have never seen graphics and details as good as these on any NBA game. Especially the parts you mentioned (Bargani checking for blood) and if you also look at the players on the bench and the crowd they are both extremely lifelike. I may have to go out and pick up a PS3 or XBox again…

Wow I think of the Bulls vs Blazers witch was cutting edge or NBA LIVE 95 a head of its time were my favs. I bought NBA Live 07 and 08 skipped 09 but will have to buy 2010. Good playing everyone happy labor day

Gotta admit it looks good. I don’t think I’ve played a bball game since NBA Street 2, and a real NBA game since……no idea actually. I’m not entirely sold on it yet, but the graphics look great. I’ll try to fit it in between Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2. :)

Live’s gameplay is absolutely horrendous, in my opinion, and has been for a few years now. I used to play Live religiously until about 2004 or 2005, where I got fed up with the arcade style, herky-jerky cartoon movements, and the fact that you really have little control over your player’s shots. I can’t play it anymore, I just can’t.
NBA 2k is clearly on another level, especially with its gameplay and realism.

ahh 2k will be better than live once again don’t worry about it, it always is. ten times more fun to play too

i never thought i would a agree with a celtics fan more than ever

Sure Live LOOKS good. It’s always looked good because EA have a secret island of money. The trouble is it always plays HORRIBLY which is why 2K is the only NBA game worth getting and has been since it came out. I’m just not impressed with stuff like “checking head wounds” when stuff like “terrible gameplay” is still there.

Wow…This game play looks amazing. Basketball (and other sports) games have come a long way since NBA Jam and NBA Live 95. NBA 2K’s game play is much easier than NBA Live’s which would make it more appealing to some people.

NBALive 2010 looks great until you’ve seen NBA2K10. NBA2K10 looks better, sounds better, and plays better. It’s a basketball simulator. So if you’re a hoops fan, you’re going to want NBA2K10.
Not sure if anyone’s tried it, but there’s NBA2K10 Draft Combine mini-game on XboxLive you can buy. It’s a nice preview of what’s been changed in 2K10. It also has a skill evaluation function that does a decent job of determine how well a player plays. It will give positive feedback when your player does things like fill the lane properly on a fast break, make a pass to a player coming off a screen, box out…
    Pretty cool stuff.

My brother do have an NBA 2K10 and NBA Live 2010 in his PSP. The graphics is not that good as in PC. But as I can see, he much appreciated the game play nature of Live 2010.
