Will the Celtics Ever Finalize Marquis Daniels?

Chuck - Red's Army July 27, 2009 Uncategorized 9 Comments

Last Friday, Marc Spears reported the Celtics and Pacers would resolve the Marquis Daniels situation by the end of the week. The week ended without a resolution. Mike Wells of the Indy Star has a different take on the situation:

The Pacers are expected to resume talks with the Boston Celtics about a
possible sign-and-trade deal for Marquis Daniels this week. The Pacers
aren't focusing strictly on a trade with the Celtics to get their 14th,
and possibly 15th, player.

The agent for Daniels says his client has committed to Boston. Everything else – a contract, players involved in a potential sign-and-trade – remain a mystery.

CelticsBlog is reporting a couple of hot rumors. One (courtesy Justin Poulin of CSL) has Glen Davis headed to NJ in a sign-and-trade. The other involves a Cavaliers offer to Leon Powe.
