Vegas round-up: league wowed by Sheed

Jess Camerato was out in Vegas covering the Las Vegas Summer League… and she has a great round-up of the entire thing today.  One of the 5 things learned in Vegas:  The league is talking Sheed.

“I just thought how much more fire power the Celtics could get,” Los
Angeles Clippers center Marcus Camby told WEEI.com. “They had a pretty
good season last year without (Kevin Garnett) being there, but coming
back with a healthy KG and then adding a guy like Rasheed Wallace and
what he brings to the table, he's definitely going to help that team.

“And I also think they made that move because Rasheed is one of the
guys in the league that can play Dwight Howard one-on-one pretty much
by himself. He does a pretty good job. I mean, no one can really
contain Dwight, but Rasheed does a pretty good job of it. And with that
veteran team with Pierce and Ray and KG, they've got to be one of the
favorites.”

Ryan Gomes echoed some of those sentiments too… but you'll have to click on the link to read the whole thing.

Lex Nihil Novi pulled out a great quote yesterday about how KG was pounding his fist, imploring Rasheed to join the C's.

Pretty cool stuff.  It's why I say Banner 18 is Guaran-SHEED.

Good stuff, RA. Thanks for the HT. This TJ Ford rumor seems a little ridiculous. He’s set to make 8.5 mil.

Umm don’t we already have a guy like that?
For sure ‘Sheed can bring a lot to the team. But let’s not diminish what we have already to pump up a new addition. Besides, unless it’s a 1-8 match up, I don’t think we’ll even see Orlando in the playoffs.

hot dang i am getting pumped up for this season. when you realize we won 62 with no kg down the stretch and a pretty uneven bench, it’s hard not to dream what can be this season. sign big baby and lock in that pg and let’s do this.
