Man this is a time when I wish the rosters would be 17 instead of 15, so we could hang on to some developmental guys as well as keep both Walker and Giddens, and keep both Pruitt and Hudson. Plus maybe Lofton or Faz.

Get rid of TA & keep this guy. He can’t do much worse than Tony Allen.

im with u on gettin rid of TA but…i think we should sign giddens but keep TA and see how he does this year(cause he had surgery and that might have helped him) and if he doesint do any better, i say trade him so we can at least get something for him.

P.S. i not saying trade TA after the season.if he does bad we should try to trade him mid-way through season.plus if we cant trade….fuck it and just release him.

Anyone want to take a WAG on the potential roster?
    Here is my WAG:
    Ray Allen G
    Glen Davis (FA)
    Kevin Garnett F
    J.R. Giddens G
    Eddie House G
    Lester Hudson **
    Kendrick Perkins
    Paul Pierce F
    Rajon Rondo G
    Bill Walker G-F
    Rasheed Wallace
    Jamario Moon
    Gabe Pruitt
    Swift or Fazekas or TBD
Leave one spot open for Powe to return later. I know DA said it was either Walker or Giddens but I bet he changes his mind. I will go with the rumor of Scal/TA expiring contracts for Moon. They will try a combo of Pruitt and House at backup PG (initially). Davis stays
All one can make at this point are wild a$$ guesses lol

I’m not going to guess what it will be because so many scenarios could play out, but the first 7-8 are set.
    -Rondo, Allen, Pierce, KG, Perk
    -Wallace, House for sure
    -BBD (signs point toward it)
That’s 8 and leaves the front court four deep and set. The need is backups at 1 and 3.
I think DA should package everyone else (Scal and TA for sure, plus Giddens or Walker, maybe both, and Pruitt or Hudson, maybe both) to get Outlaw and Blake from Portland. (Note, I’m not doing a full analysis of Portland’s roster or cap situation, etc. so this idea could be a non-starter. For instance, they made $8 mill combined last year, would the economics work out? Would Portland laugh and hang up the phone? I would if I were them. I’m just saying Lue (yuck) and Moon (eh) are low targets. Blake and Outlaw would be clear solutions AND free up the Celts roster jam. Throw in more spare parts if that’s what it takes. None of these guys are worth holding on to tightly. Outlaw and Blake would be perfect fits and highly capable off the bench in their roles.
Could the Celts package something that would work in this scenario? Even if they could, would Portland go for it?

I am all for opening up some roster spots for some of these young guys (Lofton, Hudson, etc)
