Let’s play some basketball… and listen to me on the radio

RedsArmyAdmin June 26, 2009 Uncategorized 5 Comments

A few of you have been asking me about the basketball game I proposed about a month ago.  I haven't forgotten about it.  I just wanted to put the call out once again.  If you've emailed me before, you don't have to email me again.  I have all of them.

If you want to play, email me by clicking the "email me" link in the right-hand column.

Once I get a few more responses, I'll try to find us a court.  It will probably be during a weeknight… probably around 7 or 7:30.  I'll send out a mass email to all responders once we're set.

Big jab Also… as the headline says… you can listen to me tomorrow on the radio.  As in, actual radio… not an internet show like we do around here.  I'll be on 96.3, The Big Jab sports radio in Maine, to talk a little Celtics.  I'll be joining their  Weekend Jab show tomorrow morning at 10:05 am.

They've got a big "Listen Live" thing on the top left.  Click on that tomorrow morning and listen to the first ever RedsArmy.com mainstream media interview.  I'm psyched.

Cool, I’ll be listening. BTW..Just curious if anyone thinks we should/will sign Turkoglu..? He opted out of his contract with the Magic:

There’s no way we can afford him

Besides, he tends to hold onto the ball too much. He’s pretty much the anti “set-play” guy– loves making things up on the fly. I think he is looking for a team where he can be the play-maker… not in the sense that he wants to take every big shot, but he wants the ball in his possession when it counts and make something happen. If people think Rondo’s incessant dribbling drives them crazy, Hedo would only exasperated that.
I think Portland would be a good fit… Crap, Dallas would even be a decent fit. It’d be great if he went to NJ.

Between you & LOSCY I have to agree. Just not a good fit $wise or player-wise.
