Did the Celtics just drop one against the Clippers?  Its true, the Celtics lost to the Clippers 93-91.  The worst thing is I stayed up past 1 am for another west coast loss.  Celtics struggled at the line shooting 22-32,  and coughed up 20 turnovers.  They were flat and showed the typical "tired" signs of a team at the end of a long road trip.  Rajon Rondo continues to struggle at the line where he shot 50% (4-8) and finishing the night with only 3 assists.  Pierce played through the dislocated thumb suffered in this game, and led the team in scoring with 20 points.   Rondo and Allen followed with 17 points each.  Zach Randolph put up big numbers leading all scorers with 30 points and grabbing 12 boards.  Marcus Camby also posted a double-double with 14 and 11. Mikki Moore performed as expected, playing 11 minutes with 4 points off the bench.  The C's ended the 6 game road trip with a 4-2 record and were plagued with injuries during the west coast trip.  As previously mentioned, Paul Pierce left this game briefly with a dislocated right thumb.  Pierce did return and as the story goes, he will be re-evaluated in Boston.

Agreed, redsarmy. What a terrible loss, but that’s all it is: one loss. We were able to pull out a similar game against Dallas on the last night before All-Star Weekend, but we just couldn’t last night.
Like a lot of fans, I’m disappointed that we are no longer feared and viewed as unbeatable, like a lot of our foes thought last year when our record was light-years ahead of everyone else’s. Even though our record is similar to last season, we don’t look as invincible. I think we are transitioning into more of a Spurs-type team and mentality. We are holding guys out as an injury precaution. We seem to be less focused some nights and then super-focused when it counts, or when we want to make a statement. And, like the Spurs, we seem to be taking a long-term approach to the season. The upside is, we probably won’t burn out in the Playoffs. The downside: We may have to prove we can win without homecourt.

What happened to Doc playing Gabe and Walker even if they messed up and he didn’t like it? Playing Ray in the 4th quarter of the Denver game and yesterday with Pierce injured and the Clippers hitting his thumb every chance they got. I thought Perice and Baron were boys but after yesterday he needs to think hard about that. Injuring a player and trying to aggravate the injury is dirty some friend
