What can you say? This was a great game. No, I'm not going to call out the refs for calling all sorts of ticky-tack BS fouls – like the one KG fouled out on in the 4th quarter. Or for not calling a foul on Derek Fisher on the final shot.

Well, then, I will. The refs were letting the Friggin Lakers hack us all night, and calling little piddly shit-fouls on us. That is complete BS. Shouldn’t happen to us at home.

  • double P reppin the B

The only question that really stands out to me is why on gods green Earth was Glen Davis doing shooting multiple jumpers late in the game?? His teammates were seriously looking for him…. Sometimes your open for a reason, I would have rather seen PP shooting contested fallaway jumpers than all those shots from BBD

  • chaunceyp

for not calling out the refs you sure…called out the refs. i could tell kg was under the weather, big baby played great, paul played great d on kobe but gasol beat the cs again. ouch.

  • http://www.thelakersnation.com LD2k

But but but… KG fouled out…
I don’t want to hear it. This was a HUGE win. See you in June. Get there, we want you. Lakers proved toughness…
    Love LD2k.

  • baltimoresbest01

    good game
    GO LAKERS

  • JD15

    CUE THE EXCUSES NOW LMAO
    GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tunez

this coming from a un biased basketball fan… grow the fuck up… that was a great game, maybe if KG wasn’t such a punk the refs wouldn’t watch him as closely

  • dom1020

are you seriously finding excuses for this game? celtics like top play like, maybe you should pay attention more, lakers matched the intensity and swept the series, especially how the celtics like to use illegal screens.
for sake give the lakers the props they deserve,a hard battled game in a tough environment.

WOW WHAT THE FUCK, Derek fisher is the only player in the NBA that’s last seconds defense includes hacking the ballhandler, taking their wallet and car keys, and then completely mauling every part of the rest of the player, BRENT BARRY AGREES WITH ME ON THAT WON: SEE PLAYOFFS LAST YEAR
the refs completely gave that one to LA, KG got mauled right before he fouled out, pierce got mauled when they were up one in overtime, Big baby got run over by Pau to a complete no call the series before they cauled the same thing on big baby after he had his shot blocked
    TOTAL BULLSHIT GAME
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REFEREES GIVING HOME COURT ADVANTAGE, thats kinda the nba’s thing- the home team has a significant advantage in gettting calls, instead the road team consistently got the benefit of the doubt

  • DRJ

    HATED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS GAME
    HATE HATE HATE
    HATED THE REFS
    HATED OUR PLAYS
HATED DOC’S LINEUPS AND ESPECIALLY HIS CALLS
… and I hated it all before we lost. Terrible friggin game. And EXTREMELY TERRIBLE refereeing. How the hell are we gonna win a championship if the refs are this bad for us in every damn game?

  • khw

Big Laker fan here… Absolutely the game of the year. As for the refs, they were consistent both ways. They bailed out Pierce for a couple freebies too. Please please please make the finals. Beat Lebron and let’s do it again!
Big respect for the crowd tonight, absolutely electric all game long. See you in June!

  • chief3233

Celtics lost, no excuses. I just hate the god damn Laker fans that think they won the super bowl

  • Sako

    let the excuses begin…

  • Baron

    Tunez –
Shut your goddamn mouth you piece of shit

  • Nora

Why should we cut the excuses. Laker and their fans are famous for using them. We’ll See you in June when hopefully everone on both side are 100%.

  • this sucks

the thing that sucks is that our star players foul out all the time and guys like kobe and never foul out

  • Tim Donaghy

    OMG THE REFS WERE HORRIBLE.
    WTF REFEREES.
    GODDAMN REFS

  • Matty S.

    Ugh.

  • Ubershorty

The game was called badly both ways. KG’s foul on Fisher was obvious. At the end of the game Ray Allen slipped on the floor, he was never touched. Here’s the link to prove it: http://i40.tinypic.com/2cp3nrt.gif
That was #1 game of the year and I don’t think any other game will top it, so expect to see it #1 on the NBA’s Top 10 Game of the Year at the end of the season.

  • ThatGuyOverTheOcean

Geez, this site is unreadable again… THANKS LA IDIOTS. I hate this f’kin loss for this too.

  • Nickels

Well Kobe hasn’t won shit with the squad he has, so take those rings away.

  • havasu

I’m a Laker fan and don’t post often, but visit the site frequently. I appreciate the passion of the Celtic fans and this rivalry. Don’t misunderstand me: I HATE the Celtics. But, I want everyone to know, Sako does not represent 99% of Laker fans. GREAT game tonight. I really hope to see you guys in June.

  • Lakers2416

Powe’s a beast. I forgot what he brings to the table. Overall great game. Go Lakers. See ya in June !

  • http://jameyburke.blogspot.com KobeWearsAPurpleThong

Just got home. What a night, what a game. I feel nauseous. Myself and alot of fans in Section 13 left it all out there on the Garden floor too. Well, as Doc would say, let’s regroup and prepare for the Knicks. Goodnite Redsarmy world…

  • FireWall1911

Great game played by both sides. I thought the lakers would lose this game by the amount of free throws they missed. Its nice to see boston fans actually admit their loss (minus Nora). The arguments and trash talking on the court during the game definatly raised the intensity of it. Hopefully both squads make the finals again this year, if not a Cleveland/LA showdown would be almost as good. Nothin like boston/LA though..

  • Al

Props to the Lakers, they were weak last yr in the playoffs, Pau has toughened up and they’re a stronger team as a result. If they hadn’t missed a shitload of freebies it woulda been an easier win, great to follow on the radio!!
C’s, also couldn’t understand the BBD jumpers FFS!!!! Get House in the game for some decent burn at the end!!!!!

  • Eidraq

im a lakers fan and i just wanted to say good game to you guys..hope to see u in june

  • Robblee

See you in June.We may have lost the season series but there no way way we could lose in 7.GO CELTICS!!!!!!!

  • AINGELIVES

Ouch great game sucks we lost.

  • andro

    better without bynum?
we had no inside presence! leon powe and big baby got easy putbacks all night and you don’t think a 7-foot 300 pounder who clogs up the lane wouldn’t have been that much of a difference?
    sigh…
and btw, your players are whiners. we (lakers) got our asses handed to us in a 6 game series and we made no excuses: we had no inside presence, we weren’t tough enough, and you guys wanted it more.
you guys lose TWO regular season games and mock us saying that we were taking it too seriously? come on. classless. and btw there was no foul on that last play (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKN67X_Dw-w) clear view side view of the final play, where was the “push” as allen goes up fish and pau are already a good foot away from him.

  • Purple Dude

    Quoted from LA Times:
” . . . here are some reasons why the Lakers’ . . . win in Boston was the transcendent team accomplishment to this point in the NBA regular season. Call it the Magnificent 7:
    1) The Lakers weren’t intimidated . . .
    2) They won despite an exhausted Kobe settling for jumpers, obviously playing with dead legs, the 61 in New York and 36 in Toronto having visibly drained him.
    3) They won despite bricking 12 free throws. Make half of those, they win in regulation.
    4) They won without Andrew Bynum, whose presence and size would definitely help counter the Celtics’ physicality and take away some of their easy hoops around the rim.
    5) They did it in Boston.
    6) More impressively, they did it against a Celtics team that was loaded for bear, having lost to the Lakers at Staples on Christmas Day. The defending champions actually gave KG a DNP (did not play) on Tuesday when he was healthy and recovered from the flu, just so he could be even more rested and ready for L.A.
    7) More impressively, the Lakers did it playing on consecutive nights, near the end of a long Eastern swing, when West Coast teams tend to tire and peter out.””

  • haaaa

good gaaaame celts!!! even though i almost had a heart attack. foul or no foul, bad calls or good calls, a win’s a win baby!!! please beat the cavs. we want you in june.

  • Rodger In Illinois

Lakers suck what a bunch of crybabies get lebron on your team and they could make a commercial for klenix.Docs coaching and the refs sucked too.Not to mention the free throws paul missed.Damn

  • droopy

    1. im a celts fan. i dont visit laker fan sites. so why do you guys visit ours? you must have a lot of friends.
    2. big baby took 4 jumpers down the stretch. he should have taken 0. he hustles and i love that but powe should have been in not him.
    3. the refs were bad both ways but they were worse for us. we did not get all the bs fouls that the lakers were getting (did anyone else notice the 12 and 1’s the lakers got in the second half? if they could shoot free throws we would have been trailing all half)
    4. that inbounds play was pathetic. thats the play they think is coming so you set that up then find paul or eddie for some sort of shot.

  • http://www.buymicrosoftpoints.com Alex

    Good game Lakers.
We will be seeing you in June. ;)

  • Lakerhater

Ray got screwed, but in the end it was a good game, just sucks to lose. Never want to lose, but dropping one in February hurts a lot less than dropping one in june. I’m not sure what Pierce said to Kobe when he was trying to act tough with Rondo, but it must have been good. Hopefully these douches make it past the Spurs and Blazers for a rematch in June.

  • lakers4lyfe

WILL YOU C CANS THAT KEEP CALLING OUT THE REFS STOP. ITS ANNOYING AND IT MAKES YOU GUYS SEEM WEAK. PLEASE, THIS JUST PROVES THAT CELTICS NEED THE REFS TO WIN GAMES. IM NOT SAYING THE LAKERS NEVER GET A CALL GO IN THEIR DIRECTION, BUT BOTH TEAMS GOT IT. THE REFS LET EM PLAY DOWN THE STRETCH, THE WAY IT SHOULD BE. DONT BE PUSSIES AND ASK THE REFS TO BAIL YOU OUT WHEN YOU TRY TO TAKE A 20 FOOT OFF BALANCE SHOT…IM TALKING ABOUT RAY ALLENS THREE POINT ATTEMPT TO END THE GAME. THAT WAS JUST A HORRIBLE LOOK FOR A GAME WINNER.
