How’s Our Ass Taste?

With Phoenix playing back-to-back road games and their 4th game in 5 nights, we knew the Celtics had a very good chance to win this one. But I didn't expect Phoenix to lay down quite like this. Boston College would have put up more of a fight.

The Celtics led by 15 after 1, 30 at the half, and 35 late in the 3rd quarter before finally calling it quits. I took at shot at Shaq in the headline, but in reality, he was the ONLY Phoenix player who showed up (actually, that dude with the pony-tail was extra scrappy in garbage time). Amare Stoudemire had 3 pts, 1 reb in 29 minutes.

Rajon Rondo (23 pts, 7 assts, 5 reb, 2 steals) was running the break and getting into the lane at will. Ray Allen (20 pts, 4-5 3FG) was deadly from beyond the arc. Forced to guard Shaq, KG (16 pts, 8 reb) played tough and controlled the boards. Big Baby (9 pts, 9 reb) and Leon (5 pts, 5 reb) outhustled every Suns player on the court.

Check the shooting percentages in the box score and you'll see similar numbers by both teams. The difference maker – the Celtics took 22 more shots (making 11 more FGs) thanks to the Suns 23 turnovers.

Celtics 104 – Phoenix 87 |Box Score | Recap

"If the Celtics were shut out in the 3rd quarter, they'd still be up by 6." – TNT play-by-play guy at the start of the 4th quarter.

Did you see how skinny Shaq made Baby look.. crazy.

I like how Reggie Miller is simply called “TNT Play-by-play guy.”
    I love it.

Great game. Besides the obvious, we saw that quietly, Rajon has developed his jump shot. It was there tonight, and deadly. Big step forward… woe to any team that lays off now daring him to shoot. And Walker had an excellent game. Got a feeling we’re gonna need him later on. POB is… well… still befuddled out there… good on D, but seems to have a short attention span when it comes to protecting the ball. We might be able to win as we are, but it sure would be great to get a reliable big.

defense looks like it is back…rondo is attacking the basket
    i’m confident for thursdays game

So is Tony Allen on the Trading block or what?
Dude had a minor ankle twist two weeks ago. He hasn’t been with the team, or sitting on the bench, in uniform nor in streetclothes, since.
I think he already got his walking papers.

Fsantos…I think it was just cuz it was a complete blowout. There really wasn’t anything to say about it…the C’s dominated every facet of the game. There…that’s the analysis haha.

Where are all the Faker trolls?? I think the way Bill Walker plays in the limited time he’s on the floor should be enough to have Tony Allen traded. We should get something good in return for him. Walker is an upgrade to Allen!!

All I can say about last nights game is that I am SHOCKED Pruitt can get that high off the ground. Holy christ, if he had caught that alley from House I would have wet my pants.

West coast Celtic fans have endured the TNT haters since last season. Its way to fun to watch them eat crow post game.
