Dennis Johnson Tribute

RedsArmyAdmin August 21, 2008 Uncategorized 3 Comments

BallerBlogger.com has a nice little tribute to one of the most underrated players in NBA history:  Dennis Johnson

Johnson was named to five All-Star teams and nine straight All-Defensive Teams. He was a member of three NBA championship squads, and his postseason heroics earned him a reputation as a money player. He was imbued with a contagious competitiveness. “I’m a winner,” he once said. “I put my heart into the game. I hate to lose. I accept it when it comes, but I still hate it. That’s the way I am.”

The post ends with a great video tribute to DJ.  We miss ya buddy.  Maybe someday the Hall of Fame voters will wake up and put you in.

Amen. Here’s what the Hall of Fame should consider, how many times someone has said “I remember watching the game the way it should be played.. with passing and defense.” Yet the players exhibiting these skills are typically the ones left out.

What’s up with the music they chose for that DJ montage? Christian country and Basketball….together at last!
