The Celtics may have lost Game 3, but I remain supremely confident they will win this series. In fact, my confidence level is higher now than it was prior to this game. Why? Because Paul Pierce (6 pts, 2-14 FG,)  just played the worst game of his career and the Lakers barely won. Kevin Garnett (13 pts, 6-21 FG) was pretty damn bad too. I'll give the Lakers some credit, they were more aggressive offensively and defensively. Kobe Bryant (36 pts) was superb, and that greasy douchebag Sasha Vujacic (20 pts) nailed several big shots. But there is no way in hell, the Lakers are good enough to win this series.

Box Score | Recap

Rajon Rondo suffered a mild ankle sprain in the 3rd quarter. He had decent mobility, but Doc stuck with Eddie House for most of the second half.

Badguys win. Is Odom a walking corpse out there? The guy is worthless. Pierce will go off next game typical let down game in NBA its par for the course. Take 1 in LA and win it at home I can live with that. Boston showed alot of class by not crying after every play Lakers did not.

Well, it was somewhat certain Kobe would be his usual self at some point. Tonight happened to be the night. Who would’ve thought Pierce and KG would forget how to shoot the basketball, though.
As much as I hate to say it, I think KG should stop taking those long, flat laser 18-20 ft. shots. Those have been killing us. He needs to pound it in on Gasol and do those turn around hooks.

Didn’t it occur to you that the Lakers won with Gasol playing like crap and Odom in foul trouble throughout the game? but inspite of all of these factors, Lakers got the W and isn’t that the most important thing? winning’s winning. you celtics fans know that from your “barely won” game 2 victory. idiot.

I had no problem with the officiating tonight..but did anyone notice ABC refused to show any replays of any celtics foul/turnover or lakers non call
i remember several specific times wanting to see a replay of what happened…and getting nothing

it kind of goes without saying but the lakers needed this game more and the play showed, i think we need to feed off KG’s energy every game and when he comes out flat we do too, that stretch in the 3rd when we took the lead is because KG was attacking and being aggressive on both ends, hopefully he brings that game 4 and pierce stays outta foul trouble so he can get rhythm to his game

looks like Kobe smack the world back in reality and showed he is better then pierce. Lakers tied this up 2-2 and game 5 is a coin toss

there was no doubt in my mind that the celtics were gonna lose this game, i didnt want to believe it but there was no doubt, no way the nba would let the lakers go down 3-0 and ruin their picture perfect nba finals
now while the media will tell you that the lakers were just more aggressive than the celtics tonight-not totally true-the truth is the kobe was gonna get to the foul line tonight around 20 times if he just showed up to the game let alone drive to the paint
side note pierce was getting mauled when he drove in to the lane, didnt get any calls, its allright i didnt expect them
overall i thought it was a good (and inevitable) loss for the c’s
and i liked seeing eddie get some playing time

I didn’t know Dre was some politically correct wannabe. You’re taking a page out of Al Sharpton’s book by inferring my comment is an ethnic slur. The dude looks greasy. I don’t care where he’s from.

Classy article Chuckles…full of emotion, racism and blind fury…there’s the boy from Lakewood I have so much respect for…nice to see you back…
Go Lakers…we win Game 4 this series is ours…good luck.

  • Braddymac

Ok… We win game 4 this series is ours… good luck.
Honestly the C’s had no right winning that game especially when you consider us missing those free throws, shooting 35% from the field and not having enough assists. And our defense was not up to par the closing possessions. Where was help for Ray-Ray?
Phil finally does something right by swapping Kobe to Rondo forcing a cross match.
Congrats LA and welcome to the 2008 NBA Finals. Just don’t make any parade plans….

  • Lakerhater

Well if you had to lose one it would be game 3. Kobe’s back was against the wall and he went after the rim like a hotel employee. Pierce shot like sh*t all night and the lakers never could pull away at home. I thought the C’s showed great heart, no worries going into game 4 unless of course you a female hotel employee.
